That one was a challenge! I really wanted to add more details, some pomegranates and white roses here and there, but they weren’t looking good… 😔 I have more ideas for Lucio related artworks, I hope I’ll manage to paint/draw at least some of them… 👀

Hello, Anons! Thank you for the request. What better time to write this than when I, myself, am on my period? Also, this is a polite reminder to everyone that not all who get periods are women! Similarly, not all women get periods! I'm not aiming that at anyone in particular, I've just seen too many people only refer to women when talking about periods. Anyways, enjoy some comfort, during these exhausting times, by imagining your favourite characters taking care of you. :)
Asra
- Asra is the most used to your cycle and your needs when you're on your period (he did have to take care of you for a while when you we're still relearning life). He's probably started tracking your periods, to make things easier for you and him, so he's prepared even before you start bleeding.
- There is no part of Asra that is disgusted by you on your period. This is natural and they understand this. If you bleed through and stain the sheets at night, Asra will assure you that everything is fine and they'll launder everything themselves, so that you don't have to overwork yourself.
- When you're on your period, you are exempt from working your shifts at the shop. Asra knows how painful and tiring periods are for you, so they let you rest all day. They won't force you to do anything you don't feel well enough for because you deserve to feel comfortable.
- Occasionally, if your cramps are really bad, Asra will close up shop altogether and lie with you. He'll gently wrap his arms around your stomach and magically heat up his hands to serve as a hot water bottle. While you lie like this, he'll whisper loving words into the crook of your neck.
- When you get mood swings, Asra knows how to deal with them. They've been forced to take care of you for at least a year as you relearned everything, so they had to find ways to cope. They now know when to leave you alone or when to come and hug you, and they use that knowledge well.
- If your periods make you feel dysphoric, Asra will always repeatedly assure you that your gender identity is always completely valid. He'll give you a lot more compliments specific to your identity and simply offer something to take your mind off the thoughts.
Nadia
- Nadia has a little personal calendar, in which she notes the times you start and end your periods, as well as what you crave during those times and what works best to comfort you. She likes to be organised and prepared, to avoid any accidents and mishaps.
- Nadia knows and understands how horrible periods can be, so her demeanour towards you becomes even more mild than usual. She speaks in a hushed tone, almost cooing to you like a baby. It's not that she thinks you're incapable of things while bleeding, she'd just rather you didn't have to do things.
- On your period, you need only say the word and Nadia will have it done for you. Hot water bottles, painkillers, that one very specific craving, a massage for your aching muscles, anything and everything she can provide, she will. She knows the pain and fatigue periods cause, and she hates seeing you in that state, so she'll do anything to make you feel better.
- If your cramps are really bad, Nadia lays next to you in her bed. While you're tucked in the foetal position, she'll place a hot water bottle on your abdomen, pressing a kiss on to forehead. Nadia will gently stroke your cheek with her soft hands as she lays next to you in her soft bed.
- Nadia is used to dealing with people on their periods. Growing up with older sisters, she's used to mood swings and tantrums. Normally, she'd let herself get carried away with the petty arguments, but since it's you, she decides to not give in. Instead, she'll gently try to calm you down with her soothing hushed tone.
- If periods make you feel dysphoric, Nadia will ask you what would make you feel more valid and comfortable in your identity. Then, she'll let you do it, so long as it doesn't involve you pushing yourself past your limits. You don't have to put yourself through extra pain, because in her eyes, you'll always be you, period or no period.
Julian
- Julian, being a doctor, has a very medical approach towards periods. He checks with you to make sure they happen roughly every 28 days, and yet he's always caught by surprise whenever it starts. Though he really tries, he never manages to prepare in advance, so when your periods start, he gets a little panicky.
- There is no part of Julian that is disgusted by you on your periods. By no means does he have a problem getting pads and tampons. He just doesn't know shit about them so ends up getting 30 different varieties because he panics. This always ends up making you laugh a little, which always cheers both of you up.
- Julian often ends up accidentally annoying you by giving you all the book advice such as 'cut out carbs' or 'take colder showers'. When you start sighing in disappointment or crying, he's then very quick to apologise with some chocolate. Though he knows it's not recommended, he's willing to overlook the recommendations sometimes.
- Cramps can get horribly painful. This, Julian knows. So, he'll pick you up, when he sees you starting to clutch your stomach, and will carefully lay you on the couch. Blankets, soft pillows and lots of cuddles are a given. Julian will also give you some pain medicine and lots of water to drink.
- To an extent, Julian is a little too cautious. Growing up with mostly afab women around, Julian is bound to understand the mood swings and the impulsive behaviours, so he makes sure to lay low. There'll be a lot less teasing and jokes, but this reflects on his need for attention and closeness, so he gets more touchy with you, wanting to snuggle all the time.
- If your periods make you feel dysphoric, Julian the doctor will tell you all about how gender is a spectrum and how it's different to sex. Julian the lovestruck idiot will just kiss all of your features while whispering assurances that you're completely valid.
Muriel
- Muriel doesn't know a lot about periods. However he does know that they happen roughly around the same time every month. Subconsciously, he's started taking notes of when your periods start, and now manages to get the snacks and pads ready before you start bleeding.
- Though Muriel may not understand how or why people get periods, he knows that they're natural and that they have their effects on you, which is enough. Muriel has noticed that you get tired more easily, so he insists on doing all the tasks because he hates seeing you so out of energy. It pains him just as much as it pains you.
- When asked, Muriel doesn't have a problem with getting pads or tampons. Even without being asked, he'll make sure you have everything you need before roughly around the time your period is about to start. He'll simply ask you which ones you need specifically then he'll get you those and some chocolate, because he's noticed your cravings.
- Sometimes, when your cramps get really painful, Muriel will lay with you next to the fireplace and pull you into a big, warm bear hug. While softly caressing the skin on your abdomen with his large fingers, he'll quietly whisper into the crook of your neck all the reasons why you're an amazing person. You often end up succumbing to sleep like this, because it's just so comfortable.
- Muriel is naturally pretty timid with his emotions, so when you get angry at him, for seemingly no reason, he just frowns slightly and turns away. He will leave, with the intention of giving you your space. Muriel can deal with anger, but he can't deal with crying! Seeing you in tears just makes him want to hug you, but sometimes, you don't want that. It's very confusing to him.
- If your periods make you feel dysphoric, Muriel is there for you. He'll tell you all the reasons he loves you while gently stroking your arm. To Muriel, it really doesn't matter whether you get periods or not, because he loves you as a person, not you as a body.
Portia
- Portia always makes sure she knows the time your period is about to start. She doesn't need it to be specific or exact just roughly if it's closer to the start or the end of the month. She has to know when to take a couple days off from work so that she can pamper and take care of you.
- Before you actually start bleeding, Portia gets you the pads or tampons she always sees you using. If you ask for the pads, she won't pester you with useless questions and force you to specify, she'll simply go, buy pads and chocolate and come back. Simple as, no fuss needed.
- Portia will make sure you always get all the snacks you may be craving. She bakes you cookies and pastries and bread. Anything you may want, simply ask and Portia will provide. Tea and water are also necessities she'll ensure you have on hand at all times because staying hydrated is important!
- When your cramps get really bad, she's got you covered. Portia is a naturally warm person, so, when you're laying down on the bed or the couch, she'll lay down beside you and gently snake her arms around your torso. Your body melts into her touch and it's really easy to fall asleep with Portia's warm breaths against your neck.
- Hormones are unhinged during periods, so mood swings are to be expected. Portia will never argue with you during a time when your emotions control you, instead of you controlling them. Instead, she'll just come up to you and wrap her arms around you, pressing kisses all over your face, telling you how much she loves you.
- If your periods make you feel dysphoric, Portia will tell you all the reasons why you're wrong to doubt your identity. She tells you all about how you're completely valid and will help with anything that is different than usual due to your periods.
Lucio
- Lucio can't help but be a little disappointed every time you tell him you're on your period. In theory, he knows you're supposed to have your period around the same time each month, but he really lives day-to-day, not really wondering how much time has passed, so he's never prepared.
- On your period, Lucio is lowkey scared of you. He's heard from enough people about how people on their periods get all moody, that no matter if you really do get moody or not, he'll keep his distance. He doesn't want to upset you, and he'd rather be safe than sorry this time.
- If you ask, he will get you the pads but he'll hate every second of it. Lucio is the guy that's scared of a tampon. But he's also madly in love with you, so if he will clench his teeth and get you anything you may need. If you bleed through, internally, he'll be freaking out, but on the outside will tell you that everything is perfectly okay.
- Mood swings around Lucio aren't a good idea. Yes, you can't really control them, but Lucio also can't refrain from an argument. Saying a snarky comment to him will end in you two not talking for days. Or, more realistically, a couple of hours because you're both clingy now.
- One thing Lucio is good at, during your periods, however, is comforting you when your cramps get bad. He'll make sure you get all the comfort food you could want and he'll make the servants give you the softest blankets. Then he'll cuddle you, your head on his chest, as he plays with your hair and tells you about his day. Lucio just hates seeing you in pain, like this.
- If your periods make you feel dysphoric, Lucio is there for you. Though he may be clueless on how to take care of you, he does know how to give the perfect compliment. He'll often also tell you that if periods were a person, he'd kick their as for you, which, if nothing else, makes you laugh at least.

Lazy Mornings with the Main 6
Anon, dearest, if you're going to ask me to write a character-specific headcanon, at least don't make it Lucio! I'm kidding. I've said before that I'll always write for the main 6 because I know how frustrating it is when someone has a good prompt but it's not for your favourite character. So, for the price of one request, you get six headcanons! Enjoy! :)
Asra
- The sun casts the bedroom is a dim, warm glow as it hits the fabric of the thin curtain. As you wake, but just before you open your eyes, you feel fingers ever so gently stoking your face. The room is silent, except for the quiet breathing of you and your love.
- You turn to face them, eyes still shut. "Morning Mc!" the smile is evident in Asra's sleepy voice. "Morning," you groan back.
- When you finally open your eyes, you're met with purple ones, staring at you with so much wonder and adoration. Asra looks glorious in this light, his hair shimmering with pearly hues. You can't help but put your hand in his soft, messy curls. Asra hums in response.
- "Lets stay like this," his voice is low and hoarse, and yet still smooth as honey. You smirk, "What about the shop?" Asra just groans and pulls you closer to them. "No," they whisper, and you both laugh a little. You're not at all opposed to the idea of the 'sorry we're closed' sign hanging on the door for a little longer than usual.
- You bury your face in Asra's neck, taking in the warmth and softness of his skin. His hands run gently along your spine, just holding you close and listening to you breathe. The duvet is warm and soft around your bodies, creating a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. You bask in the feeling of your two bodies moulding together.
- After a moment, Asra pulls you away. They look into your eyes, a fond expression on their face. While you're in their arms, they take this chance to pepper you face in kisses. The two of you laugh and spend the rest of your morning talking idly about one thing or another. It's nice.
Nadia
- The sun is streaming in through the grand windows of the countess's bedroom. The silk sheets reflect it's warm light into your eyes, encouraging you to wake up. You gently open your eyes and turn to Nadia, who is laying beside you.
- "You look ethereal in the mornings, Mc," Nadia's voice is hushed and gentle as her eyes gaze at you in awe. You can't help but smile at her words.
- She sighs and starts making her way out of bed when you take hold of her wrist. Putting on your softest, most innocent pleading face, you say, "Let's stay in bed this morning. Together." At this, Nadia smiles and is quick to comply. Deep down she had wanted this too, and was just waiting for any excuse to do so.
- Under the soft, silky sheets, Nadia's legs wrap around yours, pulling you closer. You are now so close to her, you can smell the faint traces of lavender still lingering on her skin from her last night's bath. It's a soothing scent, which just encourages you to settle comfortably in her arms.
- One of Nadia's soft, dainty hands circles the small of your back, while the other plays carelessly with your hair. Her skin almost seems to be glowing in the morning sun, and you can't help but express your love to her. She laughs a little, her voice huskier and more intimate than usual, before pulling you closer to her chest.
- On mornings like this, Nadia often likes to enjoy the silence. She's surrounded by the bickering courtiers, hassling servants or loud ambassadors almost all day, so a little silence is a nice break. With you by her side, the world seems brighter, better and carefree. Just let her enjoy you.
Julian
- The sun peaks through the heavy curtains hanging over the bedroom window. It's early, but the daily hustle and bustle of Vesuvia is already loud outside. Your eyes creep open and you turn to face your love's closed eyes.
- You gently brush the messy red hair out of Julian's face, at which he stirs. His voice is a low, tired mumble as he says, "Morning, Mc."
- Greeting him in return, you smile. Julian's hands come out from under the comfortable, soft duvet and press into his face. He grunts and sighs, clearly wishing for nothing more than a lazy morning. When he pulls his hands away, Julian looks into you eyes so softly.
- Just as he's about to move his legs from under the duvet, you press your body to his. You lay on top of him, preventing him from getting out of bed. Julian's brow cocks with interest, though he's still confused and half asleep.
- You press a kiss to his forehead, which makes his sleepy features light up with joy. You lower your body onto his, wrapping your arms around his torso and resting your head on his chest. This is amazingly warm and comfortable, just feeling your body melt into his, as you lay there together.
- Basking in this closeness, feeling Julian's chest gently rise and fall under your head, you talk casually and quietly about anything and everything. Julian's arms have began to run up and down your back, and you feel your eyelids growing heavy despite the steady stream of sunlight.
Muriel
- The hut is dark, but the fresh, earthy smell of the morning dew has already filled the hut. You throw your hands up and arch you back, stretching the sleep out of your body. Muriel's large hand is resting on the top of your head, thumb gently stroking your hair.
- When you turn to look at him, Muriel doesn't say anything. His green eyes just look deeply into yours with so much contentment.
- Inanna's peacefully snoring at your feet and the chickens cluck quietly outside. The morning is still and peaceful. You run your hand against Muriel's cheek, his stubble prominent under you fingers. "Can we stay like this for a while?" you ask, your voice soft and quiet as not to disturb the morning peace.
- Muriel's face flushes with colour at the idea, but he doesn't object. Instead, he just pulls himself closer to you, burying his head in your neck. You place your hands around his road shoulders, taking this moment to massage any tension that may be in them.
- The thick blanket is soft and warm against your legs as Muriel wraps his arms around your torso, pulling you even closer to his chest. His fingers are still stroking and massaging your scalp and you can feel his even breath against your collar bone, just taking in your scent. You feel yourself smiling.
- As you lay like this, you tell Muriel all the reasons you love him while caressing his back. You can feel his lips turning into a smile when you say something he likes or you feel him press his face further into you whenever he gets flustered. Either way, the closeness is nice.
Portia
- The morning is bright and warm when you open your eyes. The bedroom is filled with light and a fresh breeze is blowing gently through the open window. Beside you, the bed is empty and has already began to grow cold.
- "Good morning my lovely Mc!" Portia's voice is cheerful and very awake. You sleepily run your eyes and smile at her.
- A tray laden to the brim with goodies is in her warm hands. She lowers it onto the bed, pressing a quick kiss to your brow as she does so. You smile smugly and pull her into bed next to you. Portia's infectious laughter fills the room as she gives you a proper kiss.
- As she's about to leave again, you pull her back into bed with you. "You're always up so early. Let's rest today- stay in bed with me a little longer?" you plead her. There is no way Portia can say no to you, so she just waves her finger at you in mock anger, "Fine, but only a little longer!"
- The two of you sit in your comfortable bed, the soft duvet carelessly thrown over both of you as you indulge in the wonderful breakfast pastries Portia bought on the tray. Her voice doesn't seem to get tired, even as she talk you through all her plans for the day.
- Just before the 'little longer' ends, you pull Portia back onto the pillows and let her head rest on your chest. You weave your fingers through her hair, playing with the fiery curls as she fills you in on all the palace gossip.
Lucio
- You open your eyes and lazily stretch your arms. The bright light of the morning sun stretches from the grand windows across your features. Next to you, Lucio is laying with his arm over his eyes, clearly not yet ready to welcome the day.
- "Morning!" you chime, reaching to run your fingers through his blond hair. Lucio grumbles something, incoherently, in response.
- As you continue twiddling his hair between your fingers, in the quiet stillness of the morning, Lucio's arm moves from his face and around your torso. His silver eyes blink open and he looks at you. "Good Morning, Mc" his sleepy voice is hoarse and deep, but quiet and gentle, almost as no to disturb the calm atmosphere.
- Now that he's awake, you stretch and yawn, pulling your hand away from his head and into the air. You turn to leave the bed, but Lucio's arm is wound around your body, forcing you to stay put. "Let's not get up just yet," he says.
- You can feel Lucio smile as he buries his face in your side. You sigh in defeat and comfortably lean back in the bed. Smugly, Lucio rests his head on your chest- his way of demanding more pets and hair playing. You laugh a little, but comply happily. This closeness is wonderful and it makes you so happy.
- The rest of the morning is spent just like this. Lucio will occasionally press a lazy kiss to your chest as he moves towards the touch of you hand soothingly moving on his head. You idly converse about what you dreamt about and about what you'll have to get done today. It's relaxing.
Thinking about HANDS and how everyone's gestures probably vary as they use magic (since every plot thread seems to involve everyone getting their heads around at least a bit of magic even if they weren't proficient at it to begin with). These are only super loose examples of style and probably vary a lot based on what exactly they're doing.
Asra - Tight control under a veneer of loose fluidity achieved through years of practice. Seems almost casual until you pay attention.
Nadia - Elegant and subdued, form and understanding looks quite a bit different from the other Vesuvian magicians (very small variations of fingers convey a lot).
Julian - Not much practice or understanding, tends to be theatrical. He's doing his best (Julian and magic only go together so well - he's a good conduit but gets a bit blocked up trying to make sense of it).
Muriel - Open and gentle - doesn't push what he can do very far, but is surprisingly versatile. Motions tend to be rather tender and soft.
Portia - Quick, playful, and creative, she's pretty much just writing her own book as she goes (and absorbing from everyone else like a sponge). Has the Devorak brand theatrics too - but more control of them.
Lucio - Best when working with animals, whether as a willing conduit or intuitively understanding them - less gesturing and more channeling.
Lua - Surprisingly small all things considered - but effective, even if their gestures are reserved they use them well.
Aleis - Strong, tight, and direct - they borrow a lot from martial arts and aren't afraid to be to the point.
(Me: I'm going to be productive this weekend! Also me: I'm going to spend an entire day doing single image studies of each of the Arcana characters hands.)
So I have my own personal headcannons about the characters ages ranging from (45-28) and I’m personally 23 and have a thing for age gaps as long as everyone is a consenting adult.
Asra
They’re definitely an age is just a number person
You’re death from the plague was so much more tragic
Can’t help but be protective and big brother you sometimes
They love getting watching you grow and mature
You’re just so adorable and fun
If you ever accidentally call him dad, he’ll just laugh it off, finds it sweet that you look up to him like that
Is down with being called daddy tho
Nadia
Isn’t really concerned about the age gap.
You’ve proven to her that your deserving of her respect regardless of your young age
At the same time she appreciates your fresh young perspective.
She also loves how you look up to her
She’s always careful not to patronize you or mother you
Though if you do ever accidentally call her mom she can’t help but feel touched and tease you about it

Julian
Has the most hang ups about it
Sure he knows you’re a consenting adult but you’re younger than his baby sister
Oh no does this make him a creep. He must be a pervert manipulating such a sweet young thing
He loves you so much and respects and admires you but you’re so young.
You’ll have to reassure him that you’re mature enough to make you’re own choices and you choose to be with him
On the other hand he adores your energy!

Since he’s so young at heart (immature) he never really even noticed the age difference
That it’s until it’s pointed out to him
Then he’ll have a full blown crisis
Personality and maturity wise you’re both about equal but he’ll stress every physical sign of age
His fine lines, grey hair, back pain, fuck he’s getting old
Do not point out his age, he’s so sensitive about it
Laments not being you same age and getting to grow old with you.
Regardless he still adores you and you help him feel young.
You probably won’t accidentally call him dad since he doesn’t really act his age, which is good cause he’s never mentally recover.
