Ok here’s the thing

When i think about myself as a woman, i hate myself. I see how my ankles aren’t skinny, how my breasts are simultaneously too small but also too big in all the wrong ways. i see how my clothes aren’t boho chic, or stoner girl grunge, or preppy, or anything. I second guess the way i interact with men; what kind of girl would he like? We keep being reminded “There’s not one way to be a woman!” but it sure seems like there are specific ways.

When i think about myself as a person, i like myself. i like my body, i like my style. I love my muscular arms and strong legs. I don’t mind my lil tummy. i love my dresses and my button down shirts and my psychedelic baggy sweatpants. I love my lilac hair and my freckles. I love being loud and dancing badly. None of those things feel like being a girl. they just feel like me.

I don’t really know what to think about all that.
