I am actually so confused and baffled as to what possible reason there is to react like this to this comic. All the artist is saying is that it’s… fine for trans people to be gender nonconforming? That it doesn’t make their identity less valid? Literally why would you be upset about this other than you’re a raging transphobic bigot. Much less making literal death threats towards the creator and directing others to harass them. Actually ghoulish, please report this post and get it taken down because this isn’t okay.

not only get this kind of reaction in past , but almost sort of ... fetishisation ? this idea that kossai have " so many friends " - which , while cooperation and community is extremely important here , is still incomplete way to see large collectives , even when non-dissociative . in eyes of kossai , this also place sole importance on idea of plurality as something to " solve " one singular host's loneliness , which kossai do not even have such thing .

sometimes , would also get slightly different nature of questions - how kossai get this big , how kossai " upkeep " so many individual existences , even how others could follow in footsteps . overall lots of presumption this was something kossai choose to seek out , and something that could teach - whether to build headmates , assist fragments , or open up gateways ... would not know , would not know , and please do not .

would imagine volume of horror vs fetishisation interactions might somewhat depend on what origin / framework any given community space build around , but either way , general reaction to large collectives is genuinely so awful . during one period of community activity , only ever find small handful of collectives who did not flip shit over size , one of whom take advantage of that loneliness to abuse and isolate .

so yeah , maybe treat large collectives with shred of kindness and respect .
