Intro Post:

Hi. I’m Rory, currently 18, and this is my side blog. Main is @rosethrorn This will (probably) mostly be stuff I make: art, poems, maybe photos of like things I crochet or makeup I do, idk. :/ Main influences I guess are going to be bands like My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, My Ruin, Kittie, Bad Religion, similar stuff; a lot of movies like GingerSnaps, Jennifer’s Body, Teeth, The Craft, and Disturbing Behavior. I have an almost unhealthy obsession with vampires and MCR, they are not correlated. Vampires have been a thing my entire life, MCR is about the last 3 years or so. Um… I think that’s it. If you know me irl, have fun looking through this, ig.

Oh look. An actual sample of stuff I write in my creative writing class. Why would I show this? It makes me laugh, that’s why.

Anyway. This was supposed to be a short story based on thanksgiving and I was listening to music while writing and I hated the prompt and just… stream of consciousness happened. :/ my favorite part tbh is my teacher’s reaction

Which came first?

My anger?

Or your disappointment?

I’m sorry I’m not your Perfect Girl

Am I even a girl?

This life makes me want to hurl.

I feel like a liar, liar.

I’m that screwed up biter,

Always pulling the all-nighters,

Playing with lighters.

I’m my own funeral pyre.

I’m bound to combust, explode,

Rise and fall as a burning ball, another failure.

Leave me alone and stop trying to play savior,

My wicked jailer.

You add more pressure,

The more I fracture.

You wanna know what’s wrong?

It’s your dumb wager on my life,

Your useless prayer of my overdrive.

You try to capitalize,

Categorize,

Materialize,

Monopolize,

Prioritize.

But I don’t work that way.

So you tell me which came first:

My anger?

Or your disappointment?

An Ode To Death, Vicious and Merciful

Endless calm, unrelenting horror,

You bring both pain and peace,

From the dead’s eyes to take a dollar,

But an agonized job, yours will never cease,

The flip of love, sides of the same coin,

In your eternalness, you are joined.

Though you pull us apart, you bring us together as well,

Taking the injured and unharmed,

Your sorrowful call rings as a bell,

Some fear you but those who ask are forever charmed,

The great equalizer,

You haunt us with your skeletal visor.

Grief and rememberance are as apart of life

As you are,

Though against you, many have pained strife,

To others you are the merciful star.

Taking us into your emaciated arms,

Your silence and comfort guard our immortal souls from any harms.
