Damn tho I had a chat with the one old guy selling bins of DVDs… this guy honestly had no clue there weren’t physical movie rental stores anymore. He didn’t know that. Felt kind of bad explaining how it’s all online. Geeze my guy it’s been over a decade since even the last special interest indie store closed, where were you hanging out?

You gotta read and watch some old books and films that aren’t 100% modern politically correct. I’m not saying you should agree with everything in them but you need to learn where genres came from to understand what those genres are doing today and where media deconstructing old tropes is coming from.

Also, more often than you might think, they’re not actually promoting bigotry so much as “didn’t consider all the implications of something” or just used words that were polite then but considered offensive now.

Plus, a lot of these media pieces were socially acceptable and/or progressive for their time. For example, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, while it contains a lot of words and ideas that are offensive now, was very progressive for its time. The book is a statement piece for how a young man who's grown up in a racist environment, with no words to explain himself other than racist and bigoted ones, decides that the whole system is shit and he's not going to follow those rules any more. So not reading or engaging with it because it uses the n-word a lot really misses the point.

I feel like a fucking alien from another planet every time I watch a popular movie that everyone on the planet absolutely loves, but then there’s me who can’t get into it at all. SIGH. Oh well, at least the kids had fun at the theatre.

Zeus has a nice soft bed that I bought for him, he also has platforms on two cat trees, and of course there is a whole entire couch, all these great soft and comfy places to sleep,

So obviously he is sleeping directly on the hard floor.

Hardly the most offensive thing but I'm so tired of everything being grey and beige and white and all the color drenched from myth media. Dull and grey and beige Odyssey this and dull and dimmed and colorless PJO that — did you see what they did to Olympus!! — genuinely what is that. What kind of god do I need to sacrifice to so myth media stops being so visually boring. You're telling folklore! stories!

Two weeks radio silence, nothing but some crummy reruns, an article that confirms the ball is in Infold’s court and if they remain silent and do not address the fans and do not release the content, this is their choice… I hope everyone who is still playing is keeping their wallet firmly closed, and leaving one star reviews in the App Store, because at this point this is the only language that is going to get through them, ok? I feel like we CAN get through to them, but this HAS to be the way we do it.

Oh my fucking god. Spend a morning with a documentary channel running in the background, finally noticed some weird details that didn’t sound right, did a double check, the fucking channel is all AI. I just wasted my entire morning listening to entirely made up AI trash. What the fuck is the point? Why are we draining lakes to write fake stories? This is why it’s so goddamned important to build trillions of dollars of data centers??? To make fake, pointless, completely useless and meaningless slop? This is seriously what is so fucking important??? Has every single person on this planet gone insane??????

Went out shopping to check and see what the urban options are for avoiding shit-yourself-to-death lettuce, was pleased to see most produce has Canadian options. Except the celery for some reason, that is all American, guess no mirepoix for my soup tonight.
