Jeremy becomes quietly, stubbornly possessive the moment he notices someone paying Jean a little too much attention. his hand settles on Jean’s thigh, just a little too close to the inside, or slips around his waist to pull him closer without a word, right there in front of everyone. later, while the others are still laughing together in the living room, Jeremy backs Jean against the kitchen counter, murmuring between heated kisses, “Why the hell was his hand on your side?” there’s no anger in his voice, only an almost naive irritation that someone thought they had the right to look at, or touch, his boyfriend that way. Jeremy knows Jean has no interest in anyone but him, but those lingering looks, those hungry eyes that Jeremy believes only he has the right to give Jean, hadn’t come from him. “I want him to see me kissing you,” Jeremy admits. Jean can’t hold back a quiet laugh. sliding a hand around Jeremy’s waist, he pulls him closer until there’s barely any space left between them. “…and I want to blow you, too,” Jeremy adds with complete honesty. Jean’s fingers tighten around his waist, drawing a satisfied little smirk from Jeremy. “We could just leave,” Jean suggests, already willing to disappear with him into some quiet room the moment Jeremy says yes. by the time they step back into the living room, Jeremy and Jean’s swollen, reddened lips and slightly mussed hair make one thing perfectly clear to everyone present: Jean doesn’t need anyone else.
