I did learn a lot about myself and my body these past three weeks. For one, you can keep going when you think you can’t. There were some days when I started running I was thinking to myself, can I finish. As the miles went on the legs loosened up. Some days were easier than others. * * You’re slow runs need to be slower than you think. I found that when I would go really slow for what my body felt slow, the next day the muscles get easier at the same pace. * * Recovery days need to be just that. Recovery! With what you do the reset of the day with stretching, NormaTech, food intake, foam roller, and cryo. A lot of time was spent on these. Some days up to 3 to 4 hours depending on what was sore and tight. * * 2 days ago I did a long run that almost felt like a race. lol It took a lot out of me and I felt exhausted. Today (2 days later) I felt better but my legs were so heavy. They need a rest. * * Ran 3 miles today and realized that I need tomorrow and possibly the next day off. Come back to the track and see where the body is at. I didn’t break after 3 weeks but I have wondered if the run down of the legs would catch up to me or is it all in my head. Both maybe LoL • • • • • #run #running #runner #instarunners #runners #instarun #marathon #runhappy #trailrunning #nikeplus #instarunner #runnerscommunity #triathlon #nikerunning #runitfast #garmin #marathontraining #halfmarathon #correr #runtoinspire #cardio #trailrun #trailrunner #corrida #happyrunner #pass #triathlete #runchat #swimbikerun #corridaderua https://www.instagram.com/p/B-7gKc7HECu/?igshid=b7vxstkeoned
