literally nobody is saying that men are innately abusive, or that every single one of them is evil, they’re saying that you can’t tell who the good ones are. they’re unpredictable. men who have raped and killed women have been described as a great father and decent husband. male socialisation cannot be revolutionised within patriarchy; patriarchy must be overthrown for their conditioning to radically change. and in order to rip patriarchy out at the root, you can’t keep excusing and choosing and enabling them. acting like you’ve got the good detective skills, you know a good man from a bad man, shits on every single woman who has been abused by a man she loved and thought was good. you’re not exempt. your husband isn’t definitely different. a radical feminist should be prioritising the liberation of women. that’s what will induce feminist revolution. not “my man’s different.”
