TIL most autistic people have gastro-intestinal problems, so I guess I 'm not the only one.
I'm often focussing too much on what I lack, rather than what I have

"generational awareness" is so real.
when you're a kid or a teenager, your memory only stretches back so far. maybe 5–10 years. almost everything you know still exists in the present, so it feels like the world is just… the world.
but then you reach your twenties and suddenly you realize you can remember 15 or even 20 years back. and some of the things that were completely normal in your childhood just quietly disappeared.
tv shows that don't exist anymore. games nobody plays anymore. songs that younger people call "old". things everyone used to reference that new teenagers have never even heard of.
and it hits you: your childhood isn't just "recent" anymore. it's becoming a historical layer.
older people have experienced this many times. they've watched multiple waves of culture appear, peak, and vanish. but when it happens to you for the first time, it's strange. suddenly you realize that your generation has its own set of references that aren't universal.
Remember kids, life isn't fair
When my dream ends and the credits start rolling
You must maintain all your skills. not maintaining is going backwards
Too much freedom can sometimes be a pitfall, because then I want to do too much at once, but I also need discipline to focus and not do pointless things. Sometimes it's better to have things predetermined for you, so you know what to focus on and when.
"Are people getting dumber, or are we getting smarter?"
This is a question without a clear answer. Free access to education means that increasingly smarter people are coming into the world, especially in certain specializations, but the reliance on technology is causing many people to become dumber and think less critically.
In this system money isn't earned by working, but by selling things. You could say that employees earn money by selling their labor or services to their boss.
Most men aren't as tough as they pretend to be.
