Look man it’s taken me almost 30 years to figure out a fraction of who I am and maybe that’s an indicator of how slowly I learn or maybe that’s just how long it takes for us to rid ourselves of the toxic sludge adults filled our cups with as children but I will fill my own damn cup from here on out
Don’t let anyone make you feel like time is running out. You’ve got so much time to learn and change and grow and wither and rebirth reparent and repair yourself from all the wounds you survived and learn how to thrive for the first time
putting your health first is not selfish.
I worked at a McDonald's as a cashier in high school and it was during a time when they changed their POS system (point of sale, not piece of shit) so everything was now in a slightly different, less logical place, but I was working 20ish hours a week so I picked it up really quickly
Anyway I was out with my friend in the next town over and we went to a McDonald's because she really wanted an ice tea and we go through the drive through. The man greets us out of the little speaker and asks for our order and she says "Hi! Could I get a large sweet ice tea please?"
Silence.
Longer silence.
And I knew in my heart what was happening.
So I leaned over and said, "It's on page two of drinks, under juice, then the third one down."
Another much shorter silence.
Then:
"What the - how the hell did... Uh. I mean. Thank you?"
And it's been literally ten years but I'm still riding the high from that.
Ninety percent of most magic consists of knowing one extra fact.

I just remembered that apes smile when hostile. This isn’t a happy scene. This monkey has full meter and a full screen projectile in it’s move list. This is an invitation to death.
Most creatures bare their teeth when hostile. But for apes, there’s another thing to keep in mind: they hate getting wet.
Chimpanzees seeking to gain social status will often wade into rivers and challenge their rivals to follow after; regardless of the result, the first Chimp ends up looking better due to his bravery and audacity.
That chimpanzee was literally challenging the cameraman to get wet.
Bonus fact: They hate swimming because they have such low body fat percentage they sink like a stone. That is pure muscle.
going for a nice swim and getting dragged to the bottom by a drowning, raging, smiling ape

I really like the Blupees in Breath of the Wild. Stumbling across one feels so magical ^_^

[image description: a printed out flyer with the picture of a sleeping grey tabby cat on it. It has text on it that reads:
Muffin disclaimer
So you’ve ordered a muffin! We hope you’re up for a challenge.
Our wobbly tabby cat Bea REALLY likes muffins so there are a few things to be aware of if you have a muffin in the cat area.
- She WILL climb you to try and get your muffin - She is not very good at climbing so she will claw her way up your body - It WILL hurt - She WILL NOT give up - She may try to eat the muffin right out of your mouth - She is not allowed to eat muffins
You may pick her up / move her away if needed and if you’re really struggling, come and talk to us and we will help. No matter how much she wants to, it is still very important that you don’t let her eat any muffin as it will make her sick.
Good luck and we hope you enjoy your muffin experience!
She may look sweet and innocent but we promise you she’s not

Bea the muffin thief has come upon my timeline again and I am obliged to reblog.

I find it funny how often people on this website complain about someone misusing the word trigger, only to turn around and misuse it in an entirely different way by claiming that triggers only cause PTSD flashbacks.
Walking up some steep stairs left your joints aching and pained? Arthritis trigger.
An offhand and joking comment from a friend left you terrified that they can read your mind? Psychosis trigger.
An interruption to your routine left you floundering and unable to continue your day? Autism trigger.
Your coworker's new perfume left your head swimming and pounding and now you feel like you might throw up? Migraine trigger.
Odd snow animations in your favorite video game caused you to have a seizure? Epilepsy trigger.
A sudden bout of stress in your life left your body screaming in pain and exhaustion? Fibromyalgia trigger.
The sound of a door slamming left you frozen and silent out of fear of being noticed? PTSD trigger.
Triggers are incredible varied and come in countless forms and can affect countless things. They aren't just about flashbacks and I would even go so far as to argue that actual flashbacks are probably one of the least common results of a trigger.
