Ryukishi07 Q&A at Animecon 2018

(Take these with a grain of salt, my japanese comprehension is far from great and the translator was stumbling quite a bit with words.)

The new Umineko episode will feature a new character.

The new Naku Koro Ni work will have a more international cast, with a possibility of a finnish character appearing too (TORILLE).

He hasn’t decided what kind of “cry” will be the motif for the new work (yet).

Higurashi was inspired by Blair Witch Project.

When asked about his favorite character in Higurashi, he told that his answer changes every time. Right now it’s Satoko.

He likes playing war games, as well as zombie killing games.

Right now his favorite anime is Girls und Panzer.

He had thought that it’d be really cold in Finland, so he had only brought long-sleeved shirts, but it’s been around 27°C today. He jokingly complained about the weather.

007 Expansion crossover world

Out of fun I’ve made visuals showing the supposed crossover/alternave versions/whatever in the 007 expansion works.

Note that not all the characters are necessarily an alternate version of themselves. Ryukishi defined some of them as the same actor playing a different role. Also, I’m not sure they’re all connected. Some connections were long speculated in the fandom so I’ve posted them as well. Agree, disagree, everything is fine for me.
