Hey! I'm Saffron or Saf, 21 years old, demigender (all pronouns)
This is my main blog, but many of my sideblogs look very similar to it (I usually just add like a fake mustache or something to my profile pic and call it good)
Have you ever been forced to suffer through an illness because you couldn't access any medical care? This is what Heba's @heba-213 son Amir is forced to go through.
Heba and her family lost their home due to the war, and now live in a tent. Because of the lack of proper shelter or cleaning supplies, Amir has developed a chronic skin disease. Without access to the treatment Amir needs, the disease has spread greatly throughout his body, and causes him severe pain, so much so that he struggles to sleep.
$3,376/ $30,000 CAD
Heba needs help to afford treatment for Amir, as well as necessities to care for her other children. Right now, Heba wants to reach ashort term goal of $7,000 CAD. However, donations have been slow, and she has only reached around half of this goal.
Please, support Heba. Help Amir get the treatment he needs to relieve his pain. Share and donate, this family deserves a better life than this!

to anyone sending me messages on this account: i am not as active on tumblr, and I don't check messages very often. if i've taken a long time responding to you, I am sorry, it's just that I'm not often online.
Mona (@mohammedshehabtt) has asked me to share a very important update with you all. She’s had issues with her campaign organizer and has been unable to accept dónations for over a month. Mona has two daughters and has been unable to provide food or new supplies for them because everything in Gaza is simply too expensive. Having gone this long without dónations, Mona and her family have no money and no food. Mona’s daughters have been crying and miserable simply because of how hungry they are.
Mona’s GoFúndMe has raised over €9.4k, all of which has been spent on basic survival costs. Her campaign is #111 on GazaVetters’ list of vetted fúndraisers. Since she is unable to accept dónations through her GoFúndMe, she’s asked me to share her friend’s PáyPal information ⬇️
Go to paypal.me/4thesuns and type in the amount. Since it’s PayPal, it's easy and secure. Don’t have a PayPal account? No worries.
Mona and her family desperately need dónations to afford food and other basic necessities, I ask you please, please dónate if you are able. Even a few euros will make a genuinely huge difference for her family. Reblogging to increase reach is also incredibly helpful if you’re unable to donate. Thank you for reading 🩷

Urgent Appeal: Help My Family Before the New Year
My name is Ahmed, and I am asking for your help. My family – my parents, brothers, and sons – are in a desperate situation after our home was destroyed in an airstrike in Gaza. We are now sheltering in a flimsy tent, exposed to the cold and rain, with no food, clothing, or shelter to survive the coming days.
My sister-in-law is nine months pregnant and is severely malnourished and anemic. She is weak and vulnerable, and we have nothing to prepare for the baby due in a few days.
We urgently need to raise $15,000 by the beginning of the new year to provide us with the basics: food, warmth, and a safe place to stay.
Your support, no matter how small, can make a life-changing difference. Together, you can help my family and start the new year with hope and dignity.
To donate:
My name is Abi from Lincoln, NE, and I'm raising money for Ahmed and his fam… Abi Lass needs your support for Help Ahmed And His Family Surv
Your kindness today may bring us safety, warmth, and a chance to heal.
For those who are wondering, she says in the TikTok as I'm in Canada and can still access the app:
"And remember kids, it was Trump who started all of this. And if he comes back on the 19 of January, saying that he is making sure that tiktok is not getting banned, coming from a German, this is exactly what a certain painter from 1933 did back then to get the sympathy of the masses.
"I beg you, I beg YOU, to not sympathize with him. This is all a plan, this is all, the only thing that they didn't consider was all of you marching over to Rednote. It TikTok stays because of Trump, this app will be run over by Republican propaganda. Fascist propaganda, the same as it happened back in 1933 in Germany. Our version was burning books, their version is deleting every information that is not serving their worldview.
Favorite thing about the Red Note shenanigans: Mongolian ranchers suddenly gaining a rabid following of American horse girls and being like "we knew you had cowboys but we didn't know you value and love horses as friends like we do, this is excellent"
Mongolian rancher 🤝 American horse girl synergy I guess
Gothamites start liking Batman more once he has a kid:
Commiserating deli workers give Robin a snack so the kid takes a breath from the nonstop, one-sided conversation he's been carrying on
When Robin hands Batman one of his fallen baby teeth, Montoya produces an evidence bag for them to take home in
A potential witness at an attacked fair paints Robin's face, and when Batman returns he gets matching pouty expressions until he gets a little painting on his cowl
I need you people to realize that you can be friends with people older than you. like, much older than you. like, decades older than you. you can be friends with these people. regular friends, just like anyone your age. it is possible.
no, spotify, i don't want to use ai to "turn my ideas into playlists". i already fucking do that with my brain and hands and i do it for fun. what, should i get ai to pet my cat for me? to play my silly games for me? to spend time with my beautiful wife for me? how about i rend you asunder
I think one big reason why we don't consider the stars as important as before (not even pop-astrology anymore cares about the stars or the sky on itself, just the signs deprived of context) is because of light pollution.
For most of human history the sky looked between 1-3, 4 at most. And then all of a sudden with electrification it was gone (I'm lucky if I get 6 in my small city). The first time I saw the Milky Way fully as a kid was a spiritual experience, I was almost scared on how BRIGHT it was, it felt like someone was looking back at me. You don't get that at all with modern light pollution.
When most people talk about stargazing nowadays they think about watching about a couple of bright dots. The stars are really, really not like that. The unpolluted night sky is a festival of fireworks. There is nothing like it.
This reminded me of an experience I had which I can only really describe as being spiritual for me.
In high school my grandparents took my siblings and I to one of those "night parks" (can't think of the right term)-- a park where it's so far from city lights you get an idea of what the naked sky looks like. It also comes with certain rules on what types of flashlights you can bring into the park, etc.
Laying on my back and looking up at the stars felt unreal. Like I was at the bottom of the ocean and the stars were particles of light from the surface. Like the sky was below me and I was above it. Like I could reach out and dip my hands into the black ether to pull out a twinkling light. All of those things all at once.
If you have the privilege to go on vacation (or just do a day trip) and seek out parks like this I deeply reccomend it. Even if you're not spiritual or religious it kinda opens your eyes to the beauty of life and the world. It's a feeling I can't really describe.
Howdy folks, the Senate will be considering the first ever resolution blocking arms to Israel. This is huge and historic; it would block government contracting and about $20 billion in arms and support. This is an uphill battle, PLEASE urge your senators to support S.J.Res114-115. This is maybe the most important piece of legislation relating to Palestine that we have ever gotten and we must seize this opportunity.
This doc has information on the resolutions and their process, as well as sample messages and a phone script you can use. Please, use this moment to hear witness for your neighbors.
On September 25, 2025, Senator Bernie Sanders (Vermont) introduced two joint resolutions: S.J.Res.114-115. If passed, these resolutions woul
