Idk. Is this anything? I felt she was hauntingly pale and I made the outfit less excessive without taking away the fun of it? I love the cat hoodie I just think it was all a lot combined

I also made her makeup less intense and gave her dip dye instead of solid pink hair. That’s just bc I love dip dye.

Maybe on the back?#Because like. Her power is locked to her righteousness and goodness. And her name is featherweight. Whose idea was this. Why are 00s superhero comics so fuckign bad.

Other superhero comics in the past were bad in kind of a similar way but it really seemed like they might be getting better. Maybe I am judging them comparatively harshly because some of the strongest memories of my childhood are like... watching family get fucking searched and checkpointed and harassed, and fucking mosque surveillance and shit. And I hate this particular era especially. But fuck it. I can be biased.

I cannot express the depths of my hate for this entire era of american Superhero comics. Finally out of the Busiek zone after months of dithering over whether I was even going to continue and immediately everything gets even worse. This entire post 9-11 era is fucking heinous. Carol Danvers has been continually shafted ever since Claremont stopped writing her, but what the fuck is this. Truly. She would not fucking do that. Except she would. The version of her that Busiek created absolutely would.

I'm like half asleep while writing this so, bear with me on the quality of my articulacy here, but I'm still thinking about the new Stone dreams. I'm just so pleased with them

In case anyone hasn't heard, a new dream was discovered... about a week ago? Two weeks? Relatively recently. It requires 3 levels of stone hearted, under 5 nightmares, and the impaled upon the peak quality. It's called A Dream of Sisyphean Effort, and as the name implies it's a massive action sink. But it also gives us the first narration from Stone's point of view ever

And it's so good!!

She is tired. She is in pain. She is slow, and so much happens in the spaces between her breaths. But she has goals. She has agency. She is ever struggling against her limitations, ever growing, ever reaching towards the sky. There is hope in her yet! She will make her dreams reality, she will crack open the shell of her body and emerge, winged and beautiful, because she will will it to be so. She loves, she gives what she was never given, and she takes in return. There is all the arrogance of a star in her, but also a very relatable desire... to be loved, by the parent who shunned her. To prove herself. To escape

It's everything I've ever wanted. Basically
