Me emerging from the depths: what day is it?
That moment
When you're changing and when your fics are changing, and when you find a new fandom and you're so, so, so aware of how - in a public space (such as the wide, wide internet) - people are going to see that you're changing and some of them are going to no longer walk the same path as you.
(But also: the chance to expand, the chance to see, and to try something new.)
It’s been slow going recently, but at least it’s something.
"There is a point at which pacifism, while seeming good, can serve the dark side...when pacifism becomes evil. If beings are capable of protecting others but refuse to take action to preserve their own sense of peace, they are being selfish. They place themselves and their sense of peace over the peace of others, and so they defend a philosophy instead of lives. In this way, they fail everyone."
(Jedi Knight Ylenic It'kla to fellow Knight Aayla Secura)
"Pacifism for the sake of pacifism is the height of arrogant selfishness when that belief prevents you from acting to save others from harm."
(Tycho Celchu)
I love these quotes so much, they show why the Jedi couldn't just "stay neutral" during the war, why they couldn't just let the Separatists do whatever they wanted, why they couldn't just stand by and let everyone die to uphold their own philosophical ideals. They chose to fight to protect, rather than become passive in the face of tyranny.
Petition to replace the sexist phrase “man up” with mando up. Reasons:
It’s gender-neutral.
There’s nothing more badass than a mandalorian.
You can reply by shouting “Oya Manda!” and pump yourself up.
It sounds enough like “man up” that half the people who hear you won’t realize what you really said for a good ten minutes.
Some of them will never figure it out.
Doesn’t matter. You know what you said.
You get to picture yourself in a T-shaped visor and a suit of beskar.
You don’t need more reasons.
Oya manda.
you’ve seen the dog outside of town, lying where the witches were buried.
Mace and Quinlan
Mace’s role as a mentor to Quinlan is something that’s explored beautifully throughout the comics, along with mace’s own feelings of guilt over Quinlan’s fall to the dark side.
Communal teaching within the Jedi is so nice to see.
I kind of suck at tagging, so I made this infographic to help make it easier.

Summary:
Jedi can Cure others' wounds by sharing some of their Life Force with the wounded, layering Prayers and Life and Love into others until cells have regenerated and flesh has mended. The resulting scars are tinted in some way - people healed by Depa end up with streaks of golden-soft-sunset-orange. Luminara heals Gree and he ends up with a brilliant streak of Green on his skin that he covets something fierce.
And then there is Ahsoka Tano: the thorn in Bacara's side.
