Even people who consider themselves to be progressive will laugh at call center or tech support jokes. All scammers are inherently indian. It’s okay to laugh at jokes making fun of Indians for their feelings towards animals or how they drive. India is inherently backwards and dirty so it’s okay to make jokes about getting food poisoning from even looking at indian food

My favorite pastime is reading Severus-centered fanfiction written by people who like Severus and enjoy studying this character. These fanfics are always SO interesting, and so well written. Because people are trying to understand where his behavior comes from, his traumas, the differences and similarities between young Severus and Professor Severus.

It's fascinating. Because you don't see a caricature of a ugly and with a big nose villain, which is what people who dislike that character usually write. You see a 3D person.

Saying Snape would be creepy and weird towards kids, and then in the same sentence saying that Barty would be good and gentle with them, is crazy. First off, neither was really good with kids, but at least one of them wasn't actively harming or trying to murder any of them.

Snape was more cold and open with his dislike towards kids, but he at least wanted them safe and protected them. Barty played in their faces as some good man to gain their trust and was manipulative asf. He did not care for those kids, bashed one repeatedly on a stone floor as a ferret (Draco), indirectly got one killed (Cedric), tried to kill another (Harry), and then used curses in front of the two kids who became orphans because of said curses (Harry and Neville).

Seriously, where does this whole "Barty would be great with kids! He'd adore them, and needs to be with them" thing even come from? Canon makes it very clear that he should definitely stay away from kids (again, he's not right in the head, ppl). Is it because he's like gay and "punk" now?

Lowkey a bit strange you'd want that guy to represent you with that (actually, thinking about it, a lot of questionable and downright gross characters are used for "representation" in this fandom. Literally, all of the bigots and oppressors are turned into some sort of icons and are worshipped), but whatever, not my business, I guess.
