[Fan Art] Atlyss Crew Line Up
If you want to see more like this please support me at Subscribestar/Ko-Fi So last year during my Atlyss hype, I made a few characters with the character creation, so I could do fun stories with them and Aria my first Atlyss character. So I gathered references for each of the characters and made sketches of each! After the sketches I got busy with work and was unable to consistently work on them only being able to finish Aria and Lou that year, work eventually loosened up, where I had time to work on the rest, only for me to reason my art process has changed since the last time i worked on the project. And let me tell you that SUCKED! Especially since I had stopped in the middle of inking Veill. Since I liked what I had for Veill, I pushed myself to match my old process, a mistake really, and was burnt out from it. I don’t know how I got stuff done with my previous process but I’m glad I changed it. Anyway when I was refreshed I came back and finished the last three with my current process, so if you noticed a different in quality that's why ;p! With this year long project over I'm happy to say I finished it! I know a lot of my original intentions for the designs got lost from the extended length of this project but I’m okay with it since I know and feel the design will get better in the future, this was mainly a spring board to help me lessen the mental and physical load future ideas will have on me! Either ways I’m done yapping about it and I give you the info I do remember for each character! From right to left let's start with Aria! She was the first to join the Sanctum from the crew and is a Byrdle bandit focusing mainly with Katars as weapons. she is the highest level among the group along side Lou. Aria likes to tease the others (or those she can get away with teasing at least) every now and then but she does her best to keep them out of danger. Next up is Veill, a Kubold focusing in the Mystic arts and likely becoming a Magus subclass. Veill, though quiet and intimidating, is kind and caring and will sometimes act motherly towards the others. The idea of her was to be a goth spell caster, which I can see hints of in her current design but honestly I think I can push it more and will attempt some time in the future! Following is Sable! A bubbly cheerful Poon nooblet who has got her eyes on the experienced fighter Lou! She is another design I want to improved as I wasn’t 100% sure what I wanted out of her character, as a base though I do think her design is cute! Up next is Lou, the second most experienced of the crew and the resident fighter! This Poon joined the sanctum some time after Aria and has been good friends with her ever since! Though he wears a sour face at most time he actually can be quite bashful when teased. He wields swords and shields as well as greatblades when going into battle! After Lou is the mischievous Imp named Noruth, A bandit who is great with bows and dashing around the field! Noruth ended up join the crew after a failed attempt at stealing from Aria. After receiving punishment for the theft attempt, Aria extended an invitation to the party, seeing the little imp’s skills and potential! Lastly we have Maple, an energetic Chang that seems to have showed up one day out of nowhere. The group didn’t know about her until one day she decide to tease and (playfully) bully Noruth. Though she wasn’t officially invited to the crew, she just kept on hanging around them to the point that everyone assumed she was just a part of the group. On the field she has shown that she is resilient, being able to take hits and bounce back just fine, With her favoring larges hammers as a weapon, many assume she will go down the fighter class path. If you manage to read though all of this text, thank you! and I had fun with these designs and I do want to draw them again, and show my silly little stories when I have some spare time. I may not know when the next time they will show up again will be but for now please enjoy my silly little goobers! Please Enjoy! Much like last year's challenge I chose my OC's Dunn and Kit, the only difference is I used them for all this year's prompts. Day 7's prompt was Blush! As the final prompt of the challenge i'm happy it ended with some thing I was more familiar with for these two. Kit often gets Dunn to blush so i ran with a classic scenario in my head to do this piece! Like day 6 this was finished after the initial week, which meant I could have put in a lot more work, though again I chose to keep it simple like day 6. I like how valentine's-y the piece feels even though it was finished in March! This challenge makes me happy and I'm excited for next year! Much like last year's challenge I chose my OC's Dunn and Kit, the only difference is I used them for all this year's prompts. Day 6's prompt was Hand! This prompt is the one I feel like I missed the mark the hardest, since I already lost most of my steam by day 5. I struggled sketching this prompt changing it from my original idea and essentially settling on the next idea I thought would be easier. Unfortunately for me I wasn't able to get around to finishing this one within the week's time constraint, and ended up finishing it the follow week. When looking at it with fresher eyes, I saw the many issues this piece had, however I opted to preserve most of them for two reasons. I wanted to keep the spirit of the challenge some what intact and if I chose to alter it too much it would of taken longer to finish. But with all my negativity out of the way I have too say, THIS piece is my favorite out of this year's set! I love the colors and the background, but most of all I love Dunn's expression the most! After the the last day I was excited for what I thought was going to be a simple prompt, since I used a lot of my brain power on the previous prompt, and it was simple but my brain was trying to complicate it. Generally I want to keep the Oc Kiss pieces mostly sfw, but my brain really tried to make it spicier. After I told my brain to save those ideas for another day, I landed on this pose! I quite like how I rendered this one and I think this one is in my top 3 of this year's set! Also fun fact out of the 15 Oc Kiss week images I have made this is the first one that feature Kit's eyes open, Idk why that happened but it did! The next day's prompt is Hand! This prompt was tricky as I never thought about what Dunn and Kit's Wedding would have looked like before this. Because of that I was scared of this day the most, so I ended up putting the most of my brain power into this one when prepping the sketch, like designing outfits for them!... That goes mostly un-seen! XD Either way when it came to finishing the piece, I had a general idea for the feel of the image but I ended up with something different than what I had in mind and I love it! This was a tricky prompt initially since my brain first went to one of them dying for an idea of a heartbreaking kiss. I however shot that idea out of my head when I remembered that at some point in their story they have to separate from each other for a short time and that can be heartbreaking! So I went with that as an idea and to maintain the mood I went a dark and dreary palette. This one is one of my favorite since i don’t get to do these type of moody pieces often, I think it came out great! The next day's prompt is Wedding! Please look forward to that and enjoy! This was an easy prompt to start since Kit is quite the playful character.The part I struggled the most with was Dunn's expression, it was hard to get the right one, as I wanted him to be in a mix of disgust but slight enjoyment. I feel I didn't pull it off as well but I'm happy with what I landed on. Over all I had fun with this prompt and I want to make more art showing off the quirkiness of the these two. This challenge is were you draw non-cannon characters... well, kissing =p for the week of valentines, for those curious here is the OC Kiss week 26 info! Much like last year's challenge I chose my OC's Dunn and Kit, the only difference is I used them for all this year's prompts. Similarly to last year I'm posting way after the week due to me only finishing all images around this time (Also it's my Birthday week so I'm celebrating with my babies!) Thankfully this time I didn't take 3 whole months after the challenge to finish! Like the previous year I did the method of making pre-sketches for each prompt a week before, this time I was able to finish 5 out of 7 prompts during the initial week. I am very proud of myself for doing more this time around! (even if it just one more then last year) I probably would have finished the final two within February after the burnout settled, but life had other plans. None the less I got them all done and had lots of fun along the way! Day 1 prompt was Impulse! This was an easy prompt for me as Kit is quite the impulse driven character. The idea was simple she saw Dunn and couldn't help herself! Though the idea was simple I did struggle a bit when it came down to executing the idea... I got passed it thankfully and I love the final result! The next day's prompt is Playful! It will be posted in the next up coming post week due to the up coming IRAD post but after that I will post all of them in sequence! Please look forward to that and enjoy! This was also my first time using the lasso tool as a sketching tool, which was very fun to use! These sketches were almost entirely made with the lasso tool! A dastardly duo our DM Blue made to prey on our group's love for little guys, we were caught of guard during our battle with them. and though our party was able to handle them, however death does not stop these two. Revived and now sporting death marks, these trouble makers are able to make mischief and coin once again!
