I draw fanart as the whim takes me. Lots of shadowgast (Critical Role), and currently, lots of BG3. Check out #mayhew and #galehew for my own Tav stuff.
Commissions are closed. If you'd like a future commission, details are on my website.
two important notes:
"A side of beans?" Yes! you could have WIP beans of your very own.

ngl, Gus will in fact love Demodus, this is the exact bullshit he wants in his life, everyone else in court is in DANGER because Gus is going to enable Demodus's nonsense SO BADLY
"I'm lying to you but this sentence is technically the truth without context" is such a good trope. Like yes the way that I am spinning these words forms a lie but if you squint I'm actually not lying.
i think the crux of human misery stems from the fact that our skeleton just wants to sit around and accumulate dust in an ancient barrow (that is the innate imperative of all skeletal remains in-case you didn’t know) but our meat has its own agenda which creates this fundamental conflict of interests
I'm coming to realize how vital it is to keep a running list of shit you did in the past few weeks so that you can participate in small talk. It's literally not anything to do with them being interesting at all it's just having Something to say to give people even the barest thing to hold on to. It's so you don't get into the "what have you been up to" "nothing much what about you" "yeah same" trap. Literally just say something.
What have you been up to? Um well it's getting warmer so I've been having to brush my cat every day.
Like no it's not that interesting of a thing to say. But now they can respond to it. They could say, man yeah it really is heating up, I've been trying to think of things to do inside more often. Or, oh you have a cat? What's their name?
Like. It's Something. All you need is Something. And if you're like me and your brain immediately goes blank upon entering small talk then keeping a list will help you remember things to say.
You actually cannot skip to being good at a creative endeavour that you haven't put much practice into. You cannot trick your way out of the 'knows that your work is not what you want it to be but don't know how to improve it' stage by planning or reading or talking about it really really hard. At some point you just have to craft through it until your brain finds it's own unique way back to the 'everything I make slaps' stage and be prepared to start the cycle all over again. You just have to make that project you're excited about slightly less good than you want it to be. (Says this standing in a pool of blood and covered in blood and also coughing up a little blood)
yeah yeah rainbow capitalism is bad and whatever but like. when I was a child, being pro gay was not the popular or lucrative choice. I'm happy that times have changed.
I miss rainbow capitalism. I do. I miss when it felt like public opinion was still pro gay. I understand it was always an empty gesture, but it mattered in a sense of knowing how socially acceptable being queer is. If that makes sense.
There’s something that makes me go insane and it’s the image of someone cradling a dead body tenderly. They’re already gone but you still try to comfort them. They’re already gone but while the warmth in their body still remains you can pretend. They’re already gone and you were too late but still you hold them like your kindness can bring them back.
i know this is controversial opinion here but i love talking to strangers so much. everyone is a little world you get to peek inside and you just never know what you're gonna find.
I’m not sure how many people realize that there’s a way in which hurt/comfort is actually very kinky, because at its core you’ve got this emotional power exchange fantasy where one character is vulnerable and helpless and the other takes care of them. In the case of stories involving grievous injuries, where someone is bedridden for a long time, you often end up with two characters in a 24/7 total power exchange relationship without a safeword. It just doesn’t involve as many whips and dog collars.
This reminds me of a blogger who covered femdom romance and erotica novels, who once remarked on a non-femdom series where "the portrayal of sex has an emotional intensity and purpose which is reminiscent of BDSM. The sex is vanilla, but the feelings are rather sadomasochism."
Hurt/comfort may be vanilla or entirely nonsexual, but the feelings can get very sadomasochism! Or D/s. Or other elements of kink.
