Why are so many train people into the MBTA in particular? I love it too but it can't be that unique
i mean i like it bc i live here, but i think a lot of people like it because of the variety of trains it has. unlike nyc or chicago, each line has its own unique trains and that just scratches a brain itch.
Yeah, having lived in the GBA my whole life, it's always annoyed me that metro systems with colored lines e.g. Chicago don't have colored trains.
Like, objectively, it's more efficient to not have to buy four different specifications of rolling stock and to be able to use any working train on any line, but there's something sad about watching a Pink Line train come into view only for it to be an unremarkable steel-colored train. I was promised pink, goddammit!
I adore the L but it would be awesome if CTA would commit to painting the trains the color of their respective lines. Would look so cool in the Loop seeing the multicolored trains racing overhead.
to retain the benefit of being able to use any train on any line while still adding cuntiness, i think the CTA needs to get trains with big LED accents on the front and sides that can change color according to the line. would also make it easier to see which train is arriving from further away. please hire me i have such good ideas
