Do you want to draw or cosplay a retired war general in his cutesy dorm uniform but are struggling to find an accurate reference for that godforsaken pattern on his tights?

Well do I have a solution for you!

Now you might be saying: "Oh, I can just buy or look at a cosplay." WRONG!

Here's what my (limited) research yielded:

-A Pinterest image I was very excited to use as a reference until I looked closer....

-Some cosplays. Now I understand that a cosplay under 150€ doesn't have to have the details completely right but the two on the left were 200€+!!! And the pattern is ONLY on one side for all of these cosplays. One look at his full life 2D sprite or his dorm uniform groovy and you would have seen that it is on both sides. (Sidenote: I also really hate how some of these are leggings instead of tights.)

Do you have any thoughts on the parents we’ve not gotten to see? We haven’t gotten so much as a silhouette for Kalim’s parents, and I don’t think the Ignihyde boys’ parents have ever been shown at all…so much parent potential…

if we finally get to see Sebek's mom and she isn't nine feet tall and built like a concrete wall then WHAT am I going to DO with myself 😔 (jk jk I don't think it's possible for me not to love her, so please Twst give me that Briar Valley hometown trip I need to see the Zigvolts --)

we HAVE seen the Shroud parents though (out of silhouette even!), they play a pretty major part in episode 7! they're not at all what I expected but after the initial thirty seconds of "what...why...why are they..." shock it turned out that out of all the directions they could've chosen, Daft Punk Bert and Ernie was actually the correct one. good job Twst.

(I kinda doubt we're gonna get to see any of Mal at Styx in canon, which is a shame because I need to see him interacting with the Shroudrents immediately)

What do you think about the theory Crowley is Ravernne? Evidences aside, think of how funny (out of pure absurdity) this could be

with all the usual disclaimers that this theory is based entirely on meta speculation and nothing in canon has addressed it (yet): personally I'm in the camp of thinking he's not literally Raverne, but he is probably connected to him somehow! my own stupid little theory at the moment involves Crowley being someone/something else possessing Raverne's body (evidence: 100% vibes). I do think they've made it pretty clear that their personalities are completely different, so either he's under some deep cover or there's something else going on! 🤷

and, well, I keep circling back to the fact that I simply do not believe that Lilia would not recognize Raverne immediately just because the top half of his face is covered. although I do think it would be extremely funny if he went in for his first day of silly fun high school shenanigans and was confronted two feet in the door with the world's weirdest "wait what" moment.

I mean, Silver is a human(!!!), but he's also adopted by Lilia (someone Baur respects a lot) and Sebek's only friend

If I'm not mistaken, Baur knows how Knight of Dawn looked like, so what did he think when realized Silver looks suspiciously KoD-shaped?

granted, things got pretty wacky when they were escaping the castle, he might not have actually processed what Dawnathon's face looked like! although I guess it is the kind of thing that sticks with you through the centuries, and if anyone was gonna notice...

(continuing my "old Bauru looks exactly the same but with a BIG mustache" agenda)

alternatively, he's gotten a lot better, but his daughter is still working with him on...certain things involving humans.

Imagine Yuu explaining the concept of tooth fairies and someone is like “oh like Sebek’s mom”. And Sebek is like, “My mom doesn’t break into people’s houses to steal teeth!”
