This card comes from Tarot of the Divine by Yoshi Yoshitani
The Star is one of my favorite cards, I'm very excited to talk about it! The story attached to this card is a little wacky, so stick with me.
The art on this card depicts a Russian folktale about a girl, Alyonushka, and her brother, Ivanushka. After their parents pass away they try to leave the forest they lived in. As they wander Ivanushka becomes so thirsty that he drinks water from a goat hoof print. The water from the goat hoof print was cursed, and turns him into a small goat. Alyonushka then wanders the forest alone with her goat brother. Luckily a merchant discovers Alyonushka and offers to marry her, she'll have all the riches she could ever want and her little goat can come with her. She agrees. They are happy for a while until a witch happens upon the brother and sister as they are walking by a river together. The witch ties a heavy stone around Alyonushka's neck, throws her into the river, and transforms into Alyonushka to take her place. The witch then orders their servants to slaughter the goat. Ivanushka goes to the river and desperately calls out to his sister for help, she replies that she can't move due to the heavy stone. The servant who was ordered to kill the goat overhears this conversation and runs back to tell the merchant about the witch imposter. The merchant and his servants pull Alyonushka from the water, and when the merchant embraces her she comes back to life. Inanushka is so overjoyed that his sister is saved his goat curse is broken and he becomes human again. Ultimately this story has multiple points where all hope seems to be lost, but it is found again and again until the siblings finally find happiness.
And that's what The Star is, a symbol of hope. The proverbial light at the end of the tunnel.

How can I stay hopeful but also grounded when I have to deal with difficult things?
How can I heal from my past disappointments?
What emotional burdens can I let go of to make more room for hope and peace in my life?

For my own personal reading today, The Star is encouraging me to explore different options of what the future may hold for me. My life hasn't turned out the way I thought it would, and that's ok. There's always something else I can look to for inspiration.
