Best of SNL Season 38 ~ Best Cameo Appearance: Everyone from the Justin Timberlake episode
I think going into this episode, we all knew that this entire show would be special, a night to remember. In my opinion, it definitely did live up to that expectation (Thanks internet!). But what added to this episode was the inclusion of so many SNL legends, some we haven’t seen in years. I think for me the biggest surprise was the appearance of Candice Bergen. I had no clue that she would make a cameo with everyone else. Before this, the last time she appeared on an episode of SNL was when she hosted the season finale of the 1989-90 season (Which also happened to be her fifth time hosting). Doing the Five-Timers club thing with a lot of parallels to the original one with Tom Hanks (who also happened to be there too) was a really nice touch.
Another wonderful surprise was having Dan Aykroyd and Steve Martin bring back the Festrunk Brothers, who’s last appearance were in 1998 alongside The Roxbury Guys. This time around, they were alongside the Dick in a Box Guys. This episode by itself would had already been a good episode, but all of these cameos helped to make it a memorable show. It didn’t overshadow Justin because he proved that he could hang with all these heavyweights.
Runner-Ups: Big Bird, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Peter Dinklage, Chris Christie, Maya Rudolph

Pretoria Girls High School students are fighting back against a racist dress code.
When Pretoria Girls High School in Pretoria, South Africa, put restrictions on how women could wear their hair, they probably didn’t expect this response. But the students are not taking these covert racial tactics lightly.
Boys and girls alike, including 13-year-old Zulaikha, are taking a stand with protests, demonstrations and a petition with more than 18,000 signatures. But it’s not just the dress code they’re fighting, students also claim the school restricts their language.

“After reading the script, Gene Wilder said he would make the film under one condition: that he would be allowed to somersault in the scene when he first meets the children. When asked why, Gene Wilder replied that having Willy Wonka start out limping and end up somersaulting would set the tone for that character. He wanted to portray him as someone whose actions were completely unpredictable. His request to somersault was granted.” Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971) dir. Mel Stuart
