Another Production Idea
Hey everyone! It has been ages since I last posted on here. It is quite obvious by now, this is because of real life. For those wondering, I am a (Community) College Student, and also, Iâm doing an internship, and Iâve been dealing with reality/life as usual.
However, I am hoping to get back to this blog with more ideas of mine, and in fact, I figured Iâd share a little sneak peek.
First of all, I need to state that this idea was inspired by a fanart of a childhood favorite. I DID NOT CREATE THIS FANART (using big emphasis so people donât get confused). However, as I looked at it and admired the cute designs, I had this idea in my head âWhat if they were in an Anime series of sorts?â, and thus, an idea was born.
Here is the link to the fan art, and obviously, itâs loosely based on the Blueâs Clues series, but in a different way.
To make it simple, Iâm imagining a lighthearted slice-of-life vibe. The characters are anthropomorphic, theyâre all about elementary-middle school age (with Baby Bear & Sprinkles being a tad younger). And itâs kind of a two-world series. In one world, you have a teenage boy with a vivid imagination who has to deal with reality too much, but he also has access to the universe where the anthro-Blueâs Clues-based characters live. Still a work in progress, but I think it would be fascinating. And a couple other folks think so too!
Hereâs my envisionment for the characters, as well as Seiyuu (voice actors), I thought up for them (and yes, they are Japanese, since thatâs kinda how Iâm imagining it atm)
Seiyuu:
Blue-MAO (Mao Ichimichi)Â
Magenta-Haruka TomatsuÂ
Sprinkles-Ayaka SaitoÂ
Green Puppy-Megumi Toyoguchi/Ami KoshimizuÂ
Periwinkle-Junya IkedaÂ
Orange Kitten-Miyuki SawashiroÂ
Purple Kangaroo-Masaya Matsukaze/Koki Miyata (still thinking about how to make it work ^^;;;)Â
Baby Bear-Aoi Yuki
Art Puppy-Nanjo Yoshino
Character Descriptions:
Blue-The peppy, shojo protagonistÂ
Magenta-the level-headed mature senpai whom Blue prolly has a crush onÂ
Green Puppy-Totes a tsundereÂ
Sprinkles-The kawaii little brother that BETTER BE PROTECTED OR SO HELP ME I WILL DESTROY ANYONE WHO DARES TO EVEN THINK ABOUT THE UNTHINKABLE TO HIM!!!!Â
Periwinkle-the guy who wants Senpai to notice himÂ
Purple Kangaroo-the team geniusÂ
Orange Kitten/Kit-The smart girl whose also very chillaxedÂ
Baby Bear-Blue's best friend/nakama/shinyuu/aibou, together, they are the magical girl duoÂ
Letters, Numbers, Shapes, and Color puppies are the academically minded students who are CHO MAJIMENI!!!!!!!!!! (Super Serious!!!!!)
So thatâs just a draft. Seiyuu ideas I discussed with @shiny-skies. The artwork is courtesy of nyanhou. What are your thoughts?

You canât âovercomeâ autism, though? If youâre autistic, youâre autistic forever.Â
On an unrelated note, can we talk about how damn attractive this guy is? Like I knew us autistic were gorgeous, but damn, heâs fine! Heâs also a ballet dancer who played the second biggest role in The Nutcracker. Like, hello! If he can sing and has a great personality, I call marrying him.Â
True to Life: My Original Series
Hey guys!!! So a big part of why I made this sideblog was to have a place to infodump about my TV Series. And Iâll be doing this quite a lot.Â
To give brief summary of how it happened, it all started in my Senior Year, in Satire class. Our assignment was to come up with our own Family Satire, and while I didnât come up with a title until later (Actually it was my best friend who came up with it!!), I remember getting an A- and being so invested in the subject, that it stuck with me to this day.
So whatâs the series about? Well, I figured that the best inspiration to use would be my personal life.....a flanderized version of my life to be specific (Without getting too personal). The premise itself is simple: Four high school kids living in a small town, dealing with everyday issues and unique problems. Think South Park, Family Guy (Early-Era), American Dad, The Cleveland Show, The Simpsons but without the tasteless and mean-spirited humor. So really itâs more like Hey Arnold/The Loud House. (I do want to make this accessible to a variety of age groups, instead of simply going âHey, Iâm gonna make it for adults and force in a lot of humor thatâs super crude)
As for characters, I did have an idea for them, but Iâll have to save their full descriptions for another post (Actually, expect me to make a single post for each character). But hereâs just a glimpse:
Steven Parker-16, Autistic, Team Leader, Chillaxed, Will NOT be Sheldon or Teen Sheldon (AKA Sam from Atypical), but more like Billy Cranston (Power Rangers 2017)
Craig Simon-16, Down-to-Earth, Will take a bullet for the team, sarcastic and savage.Â
Tiffany Hernandez-15, Cute, Cheerful, Bubbly, Loves Anime & Video Games
Dave Aoyama-Miller-16, May seem quiet, but is secretly a huge nerd. Although heâs white, he grew up in Japan due to his fatherâs job, and was later adopted by a Japanese mother.
Matthew Roosevelt-28, The studentâs mentor and teacher. Very liberal, teaches Social Studies/History, studied abroad in Mexico!!
Overall, thatâs my personal project. I AM hoping to improve my drawing skills so I can create designs, and I hope to write some scripts to see where that goes. Of course, I wonât be able to do it without your thoughts and criticism!!
With all that being said, look forward to more!!!

OKAY RULE1 for writing autistic characters: The labels of âHigh-functioningâ and âlow-functioningâ are. Well to put it plainly, they are actively and absolutely harmful. They are used to silence autistic people. If you are deemed low-functioning, you are therefore unable to make any decisions for yourself, thus, you are put in the control of others. If you are deemed high-functioning, it is also used to silence you, because you arenât âreallyâ autistic. Do not use these labels unless it is specifically the bad guys using them, or if the characters are very obviously uninformed and ignorant of what they are contributing to by using these labels.
Rule 2: Aspergers is the same thing as autism. Aspergers is usually just applied to ââHigh-functioningââ autistics because it sounds nicer than autism. They are the exact same thing.
Rule 3: This should be obvious. But autistic people do not âsufferâ from autism. And we are not people with autism. We are autistic people. Believe it or not there is a difference, and it is important. If I hadnât been born autistic, I would not be me. You canât separate the brain from the mind. You canât separate autism from the soul.
Rule 4: Being diagnosed with autism doesnât suddenly make you an entirely new person. Someone you know being diagnosed doesnât mean that they are an entirely new person. Autism is like gravityâeven before we gave it a name, even before we acknowledged it and realizing that âhey, this is a thing!â It was still there. Still making apples fall out of trees. Just because you find out that someone is autistic doesnât mean your entire perception of them needs to change. Theyâre still the same person youâve always known. Just like you know that gravity exists before youâre taught about it in school. Just because you donât have a word for something doesnât mean it doesnât exist.
Rule 5: We are not sick. Autism is not an illness. I donât care if you have a kid thatâs autistic and youâre sad that theyâll never say to you âI love youâ or hold your hand. There are more ways to express affection than hand-holding and verbal declarations. We are not sick. We do not need to be cured. I donât care if you think weâre sad miserable things that will never meet arbitrary life goals. We are people. We just happen to be different.
Rule 6: Do not write an autistic character just because you want a gold star. Do not write an autistic character because you want to be able to say your story is diverse. Do not write an autistic character so that you can get some imaginary trophy. If youâre going to write an autistic character, it should be because you really care about the subject. It should be because you want to learn as much as you want to teach. Do not write autistic characters so that you can pat yourself on the back and give yourself brownie points. Write an autistic character because you really, genuinely, care.
Rule 7:Â Donât tag something as involving autism if itâs literally just a background character that shows up for 0.2 seconds and doesnât even have a major impact on the story or any real role at all. Not only is that obnoxious for people trying to find fics about autistic characters, itâs insulting. We are not objects you take off a shelf to show off, and then stick back when you donât want us anymore. Either go all the way or donât do anything at all.
Rule 8: We are not children. We do not âhave the mind of an X year oldâ. If an autistic person is twelve, they do not âhave the mind of a three year old.â They have the mind of an autistic twelve year old. Do not infantize us. Do not treat us like children.
Rule 9: DO. NOT. USE. THE. R-WORD. AS. A. DESCRIPTOR. DO NOT DO IT. IT IS A SLUR. DO NOT USE IT IN CASUAL CONTEXT UNLESS SOMEONE IS GOING TO REACT TO IT LIKE THE SLUR IT IS.Â
Rule 10: Do not make âhigh-functioningâ autistics look down on âlow-functioningâ autistics unless this behavior is explicitly shown to be in the wrong and completely misguided.
Rule 11: I donât know what itâs called but that thing? Where people âteachâ autistic people to be more normal? Where they force autistic people to make eye contact and not stim or walk on their toes and stuff? Yeah. Thatâs not a good thing. At all. Do not make it out to be a good thing unless this is later proven absolutely and disastrously damaging and wrong.
If you are autistic and have something to add, PLEASE FEEL FREE.
Allistics, please feel free to reblog. No, having an autistic family member does not give you free reign to add your own rules. This is meant to be a list of rules written BY AUTISTIC PEOPLE for the benefit of allistic writers so that we can read things without wanting to die of brain implosion.
Welcome!!!
