The crystal gems always complained that he had to take stuff more seriously.. And rewarded him with praise when he “did better”

He has so much serious responsibility..

He’s serious now. No fun.. And honestly? Part of this is the time skip? We didn’t get to see him develop slowly. We are like the gems here, we see kid Steven, then he’s grown up and serious. And these callbacks are jarring.. Good job crewniverse

The way this is done is really pursing the loss of childhood and how serious Steven has been made to grow… By the circumstances around him.

I want to see Steven get excited about something again.. Or laugh.. Cause that almost never happens now.

The gems don’t know who Steven has grown into..

Because Steven is only defining himself by what he is not.

What’s encrypting your internet surfing? An algorithm created by a supercomputer? Well, if the site you’re visiting is encrypted by the cyber security firm Cloudflare, your activity may be protected by a wall of lava lamps.

Cloudflare covers websites for Uber, OKCupid, & FitBit, for instance. The wall of lamps in the San Francisco headquarters generates a random code. Over 100 lamps, in a variety of colors, and their patterns deter hackers from accessing data.

As the lava lamps bubble and swirl, a video camera on the ceiling monitors their unpredictable changes and connects the footage to a computer, which converts the randomness into a virtually unhackable code.

Codes created by machines have relatively predictable patterns, so it’s possible for hackers to guess their algorithms, posing a security risk. Lava lamps, add to the equation the sheer randomness of the physical world, making it nearly impossible for hackers to break through.

You might think that this would be kept secret, but it’s not. Simply go in and ask to see the lava lamp display. By allowing people to affect the video footage, human movement, static, and changes in lighting from the windows work together to make the random code even harder to predict.

So, by standing in front of the display, you add an additional variable to the code, making it even harder to hack. Isn’t that interesting?

You know I used to get kinda annoyed with Marinette’s overly obsessive behaviour regarding Adrien Agreste until I realised that Adrien’s dream girl would be one who preplans his gifts for the next 35 years, remembers to celebrate his fifth-name’s day when he wouldn’t even think to, has memorised his busy schedule, decorates her room with pictures of him, etc. After being neglected by his father all the time, having someone care that much about him, actually remembering the stuff his father always forgets, and putting up pictures of him while his father didn’t, would mean the world to someone like Adrien.

Also don’t act like Adrien wouldn’t do the same thing if he was hopelessly in love with Marinette.

Adrien: *drops heavy binder in front of Marinette labelled ‘Weekly Date Nights’* “I’ve booked all the fancy restaurants, movies, and events we’re going to for the next five years.”

Marinette: “Aww~! I love you so much 💖Btw I know we’ve only been dating for two weeks but I’ve already drafted some wedding fashion designs for us. Wanna see?”

Adrien: *pulls up a chair* *scoots over to Marinette* “I’d love to!”
