the fact that all of the tlc women didn’t have girl friends growing up and that the rampion crew women were probably the first female friends they had and shared a close bond with. scarlet says that she had almost no friends growing up, cinder had iko and peony but was verbally abused by the people who were supposed to protect her who was told that she was worthless to having cress, scarlet, and winter following her into a revolution because she’s a badass, cress was alone in her satellite, and winter had jacin but probably no girl friends growing up. god, there is no one doing it like them.

Lunar Chronicles headcannon:

Thorne got a fake ID to gamble and drink when he was a teenager, and ended up joining the military with it. By the time he's a fugitive with Cinder, he forgets he told everyone the wrong age. So he's actually like 18 instead of 20 the whole time, making all of the character dynamics on the Rampion make a lot more sense (including his relationship with 16 year old Cress)
