“Thank you Baal…” Sinbad whispered under his breath, surprised when he heard a response back from the djinn itself almost like a whisper through his ears, but he was sure only he had heard it.
'You are most welcome, my esteemed king.'
With that in mind, he rushed at the shadows to the other side, using Baal’s sword to guide him through the darkness, it didn’t take long until he had assassins diving at him from all angles, however, he was most shocked to realize that a protective barrier had been placed over him and they seemed to bounce off the shield with a sickening crack.
'I do not approve of this violence, but it seems it cannot be helped. I shall aid, without the use of it.'
Sinbad felt relief flood through his body, finally moving while the assassins continued to try and get through the protective barrier that Valefor was placing over him, in that instant the two djinn were working together and complaining inside the metal vessel from what he could hear about how ridiculous this whole situation was. Baal of course, you would think favored a more violent approach, while Valefor was scolding him about using the lightning to fry them. It was almost comical and even Sinbad found it hard to concentrate with the two bickering like that.
"Guys as funny as this is! I am trying to concentrate!’
The assassin was focused, his body nimbly dodging blades here and there, his body leaping from the hands that grabbed for him. Of course, the newly appointed chief, he was sure, was watching from afar, watching all of them, just standing there. What a disgusting man. He hated him. His mentor...the one that'd taught him to kill so well. Though such thoughts were broken as the boy focused.
His body spun in the air, his movements, delicate, swift, and elegant much like a snakes. Swaying from side to side, strikes quick enough to only be seen as a blur. These movements, made more deadly as lightning sparked from his blades, fueled by the anger, the hatred the boy felt for these scum.
He struck, piercing through one of the assassins, the lightning coursing through and completely drying the man. He then turned and threw his next blade, a serpent like form of pure lightning forming around it as it struck down the next of the idiots.
However, he was distracted by an odd voice, deep, demonic as it was in his head it sounded like. And it sounded like it was arguing. It was faint but he could make it out clearly and quickly realized what it was.
"Oi ya idiots! Shut up! We're in the middle of a fuckin fight here!" He smacked the blade on a tree before returning to his current task at hand, easily slicing down those whom opposed him.
He felt Ja’far latch to him and immediately heard the commotion behind him, his hand had already closed around Baal’s handle and the sword was drawn probably much faster than he had intended, but in the end he turned and faced those cold murderous eyes and probably did something that would have given anyone else cause for concern. As the assassins closed in on them, he wrapped a tight arm around Ja’far, and spoke a command to Baal.
He gripped the blade tighter and brought his fingers across the metal. “Spirit of Wrath and Heroes, give me the power to crush thine enemy, and drag them to hell.” For a moment it didn’t seem like anything was going to happen, but finally the blade lit up with a blue light, and lightning started to flicker here and there before Sinbad brought his eyes back to the group. “Fine come die then!”
This was bad. He hadn't intended on this, rather, he was going to use Sinbad as a distraction to escape. Though fate had a different turn for him as he ran and ended up closer to to the sailor. He was right there and his first instinct was to latch on to the one whom held more power than him. So he did just that, his hands gripping onto Sinbad as a feral hiss left him. A hiss that sounded more like a threatened animal.
He didn't want to die. No not yet. Though he wasn't sure what he had to live for exactly, he'd come far too far to die by the hands of those men just yet! Those beasts that'd already used him to the fullest extent. So now, as he held onto the other, watching as the sailor unsheathed his blade, the assassin also took a breath and stepped to the side, pulling free his daggers.
He brought this burden to this man whom had tried to save him after all and if he was going to die, he'd go swinging. "Like hell I'm letting you do this alone!" This was the man whom was going to save him right?! Then like hell he'd let him fight on his own. Though in that instant, he blinked as a shot of lightning became part of his blades, his head tilting at the current that surrounded it and the seal mark that became part of his blades.
"Huh..." Lightning...he could feel it, coursing through the both of them. In that instant, power rushed through his body and sound, he found himself more excited than ever really to fight! Suddenly, nothing could beat him! He'd destroy those insects! "Alright! Let's go kill their asses!"
Most of the Sham Lash who'd by now caught up and were ready in their positions, now against the two vessel users. This would end wonderfully of course. And the first to act was Ja'far who dove for the shadows with a good handful of men after him. This was easy for him though. Just a few weaker assassins? Please.
“Fine I will.” Sinbad got up and just like that, the assassin was free, but instead of standing his ground he turned to go into the market place. “I’m not forcing you to do anything, Ja’far, but I’m really going to be sad if I hear you died- so fuck you too.” He wasn’t very happy but he wasn’t going to enslave someone to make them come along. It had to be the assassin’s choice.
"..." Just like that? He was leaving?
For a moment, the boy only sat up and watched as the other turned from him, walking now, away from the assassin. A knot formed in his chest and pain began to rise within him.
Were these tears that were falling?
'No...it's better this way.' The child let his mind wander, though the darkness, the loneliness that overcame him was choking him.
'I don't want to kill him.'
"Tsk..." Slowly, he pushed himself up, though as he was about to push after to follow and observe him, a hiss left him at the feeling of a blade narrowly missing him, only marking his neck.
"Oh goddamnit they found me!" No choice then! Sinbad wanted him so bad? He'd get the full brunt of what the assassin was warning him of. The boy then turned, swiftly following after the sailor, knowing full well that the other assassins were now after he himself as well.
'Fucking hell!'
He already knew Ja’far was going to react that way and quite frankly he wasn’t surprised, instead he just ignored the outlash toward him in favor of leaning down toward his ear, being careful not to get smacked should he attempt to headbutt him. “I’m trying to save you stupid, why do you think I’m not killing you?”
"I'm telling you there's no saving me you fucktard! They'll just come and kill you too!" Just like Mahad and Vittel...He didn't want to see that happen- No, wait, he didn't care! He didn't! This asshole wasn't worth caring for!
'But he pulled you free.'
'No! Shut the fuck up you asshole! I don't care!'
There was no reason to. This guy was going to die just like the rest. And he wanted to live for one. He wanted to life without breaking again so feebly. "Let me go!"
Staring and intensely judging everyone who wants to kidnap Scheherazade. “You’re all morons.”
"Ew, I agree with you for once. That means they need to die for this bullshit."
“Now I could do that, but you still have some use after all, why waste my resources?” That sounded a bit dickish of him, but he already knew the assassin wouldn’t buy the whole ‘hey I don’t wanna kill you, why don’t you come with me instead?’ routine, he’d tried that already, and Ja’far had ignored it. “So instead, since I’ve beat you, you’re mine.”
"LIKE HELL I'M LETTING SOME LITTLE STUCK UP BRAT CLAIM ME! What makes you think I'd even cooperate for you anyway!!? BESIDES! THE OTHERS WILL CHASE YOU DOWN AND DESTROY YOU! LET ME GO!" The hell even? One moment he's consoling him, the next moment telling him he'd use him, he no longer wanted anything to do with this confusing dick! He just wanted him to die so he could go back to his normal life! So he could stop feeling these conflicting emotions already!
Sinbad counted in his head very carefully and then jumped to the side bringing his hands around, he grabbed the assassin’s wrists and pinned them behind his back, before using his own legs to hold him down as well so that he couldn’t smack him with his feet, he knew this was dangerous but there was no other way to speak freely without him trying to stab him through. “…Sorry, but this is for your own good.”
"GODDAMNIT!" As he was pinned, a dark hiss left the assassin as he was now faced with the ground. 'Goddamnit what now?' How to get out? His arms were pinned and his legs too. Could he get enough leverage on his own to push up? Well it was try. The boy shifted a bit violently to attempt to push himself up enough to headbutt the other with the back of his head but sadly, to no avail. "Tsk..." He was stuck. This was it then. This was his last fuck up. "Fine. Just finish me off already would ya?!"
“Will you now?” He could not seem to help the smirk that pulled at his features, he didn’t move as the assassin launched himself at him, and instead took but a single step to the left and Ja’far had pounced onto a cart full of watermelons. “Sorry but I don’t plan on dying just yet, I’ve got things to do, and quite frankly…I’m surprised you’re alone.”
"Shit-!" As he rammed into the cart, his body bolted up and after the other. "Asshole!" His subordinates died on that day after Valefore's dungeon. Like hell he'd take any other lackies! He didn't need them anyway, they'd just slow him down! And at this point, he couldn't afford another fuck up. This was bad. He had to kill him quick before the organization offed him too. With a harsh swallow, he shook away those thoughts and lashed for the sailor before him. "DIE DAMNIT!"
Don’t mind him prowling after Sinbad.
"I know you’re there, so why not come out already?"
The assassin had been lurking around this area all day trying to find this stupid brat. Of course, now that he was found out, there was no mercy. A dagger flew from undetermined point in the shadows, racing for the sailor now before a second dagger flew after him, followed by his own body charging for the older. "Fine! I'll murder you this time brat!"
Don't mind him prowling after Sinbad.
He was quiet as he listened, then began to count in his mind. So let’s see, ten, plus three, and another four, another one…and another one- That would make- “…That’s almost 20! You found 19!? Vittel you scum- you have an issue! Why so many huh!?” He was not aware there were so many duplicates of himself for one-
"Like I said, they came to me! I don’t have an issue, I swear!" Actually, he hadn’t been aware the amount had grown quite so much. "There seems to be a lot of you and few of me, but Solomon knows why they all follow me! I didn’t realize I was that likable!"
"Oh yeah? Well I'll have to figure out then why the hell they'd follow scum like you." So many of him- he wasn't quite sure how to feel about so many duplicates of himself. "Oi! Have you done anything useful like oh I dunno, find Mahad yet?!" There had to be at least one of him somewhere right?
"I have plenty of duplicates to shove in my place, sure, but at the same time you’ve been chasing around all these other ‘chiefs’! And how many have you found? The hell do we need them for? Oi, idiot, I think you got some problems." That aren’t normal to the Sham Lash that is.
"Well, let’s see. There are ten adult chiefs, three female adult chiefs, four chiefs your age including you, one female chief your age, and one orami sharing your name and likeliness. Each one is a little different though. It’s almost like you’re all this big family." No no, it isn’t a problem. "I don’t look for them. They find me. I have not seen a single duplicate of me around at all."
He was quiet as he listened, then began to count in his mind. So let's see, ten, plus three, and another four, another one...and another one- That would make- "...That's almost 20! You found 19!? Vittel you scum- you have an issue! Why so many huh!?" He was not aware there were so many duplicates of himself for one-
"Oh come on. It can’t be that bad. At least you’re insured protection in case something really goes wrong. Not that it will, but still." He’s just in denial of his problem.
"I have plenty of duplicates to shove in my place, sure, but at the same time you've been chasing around all these other 'chiefs'! And how many have you found? The hell do we need them for? Oi, idiot, I think you got some problems." That aren't normal to the Sham Lash that is.
"Annoying scum- wipe that stupid look of your face would ya?"
"But, so many chiefs…."
"We really should have a talk about this obsession of yours- It's gonna interfere with work at this rate!"
serpentine-hatred started following you
"Who is there?" she asked, noticing the trace of someone else’s rukh behind her. She turned around, eventually spotting him. "Ah, a child? What are you doing here?"
There had been a target here in Riem, someone specific he was tracing down, even to here, but at the same time, the other possible annoyances that existed seemed to side track him. And as he was watching Sinbad in the arena, his current target, he took notice of the woman and decided to perch above and behind her, still cloaked within the shadows of the statues around. However, at being called out, his body tensed and froze. This was bad- He couldn't be found out so easily-! And besides, what was up with this woman?
Well, she knew he was there and if he conversed with her, he could stay near Sinbad without it seeming suspicious. So rather than ignore her question, he pointed into the arena to the boy whom was fighting. "I'm watching a friend." Eugh- friend- gross! As if that ass were his friend..
