That's something that never gets old. You've done such a great job putting their relationship together is a way that feels so inevitably natural and right, and I just can't get enough of how well you describe their emotions through it all. The beauty of the mind, the caged bird, especially the constellations on his face, I swear I was going to start tearing up. So thank you so much for putting the time and energy that you have into this piece, it was an absolute pleasure to read through (2/2) <3

YOUR WELCOME. I loved writing it, every single Goddamn second of it. 

My mental health was totally deteriorating at the time, but writing it was also a stress reliever for me. I think it also dealt with many problems about stress and such, and I hope that it resonated with other people as well for that reason too. 

It really did get out of hand, totally chaotic and more than I thought it would be, but I am very happy with how it turned out.

I hope it’s a story you look forward to reading again some time, and maybe you’ll read my next Star Trek story, mostly void, partially stars, once I start posting regularly for that one too.

It’s got a very different feel, but I think you might like it too.

Anyway, thank you again for your kind words, it was a pleasure to write the story and it’s a joy knowing you liked it.

So I've just finished I Like You A Latte and I don't think it's possible for my heart to get any fuller. Everything you write is just so freaking beautiful I don't even have the words to describe how much I adore your style in it. Like, the Saucer of Loneliness story you wove into there? Completely broke my heart. Too late, it's shattered on the floor and not getting together again anytime soon, the fact that Jim actually got to say hi, to not be alone, and now there's someone to match him (1/2)

Okay, I’m responding to this one first cause I’ve read it first. So here we go:

I did not write a Saucer of Loneliness, that beautiful piece of work (which remains to be my favourite short story I have never read, my favourite short story I HAVE read, going to Terry Pratchett for Death and What Comes Next) goes to Theodore Sturgeon, who actually, I discovered after posting the chapter in which they discuss the story, wrote two episodes of Star Trek: Shore Leave and Amok Time, so we can thank him for those BEAUTIFUL episodes.

I’m going to assume you read the hyperlinked wikipedia description of it, then?

I based a lot of Jim’s goals and orientation on myself, because I KNOW if Starfleet were real, I’d be doing my damnedest to be the most valuable member of their team, just to get out there. I was concerned since he doesn’t exactly follow ANY canon, though he leans more TOS than AOS, but it felt like a Kirk thing to do, you know? At least, the Kirk I built up.

I’m gonna read your second comment before I continue and start rambling about something it might’ve been more appropriate to attach to the second note.

I just finished “I Like You A Latte” (in one day lol) and I can’t even begin to tell you how much I loved it! Will you be writing more from Amanda’s perspective? I thought you wrote her beautifully! I read Chapter 46 and felt a little too much.

Chapter 46 was my absolute favourite. I’m going to be writing more stories about Vulcan politics and focusing on Spock’s character more, but Amanda was really a side character that I didn’t intend on writing about at all, so I have to say no. HOWEVER, I may surprise myself and end up writing more about her at a later date. As of now though, I don’t have any specific plans to write her perspective.

Well, I mean, you can always read it again. I’m glad you enjoyed it, There is “mostly void, partially stars”, my new Star Trek story I’ll be starting in a few months once I finish my Haikyuu story.

Thank you! I’m in a rough patch in terms of life (declining mental health and school and stress and sleep deprivation), but nice comments fuel me quite a bit. I’m taking a break from Star Trek after Latte to finish my Haikyuu fic, but will return to write mostly void, partially stars, the first chapter of which is already up on AO3. After that, I have at least 1 more  Star Trek multi-chap fic in mind for Kirk & Spock, and then we’ll see. I definitely love them too much to just stop writing about them all together, but dunno how many multi chaps I’ve got for them.

So I'm reading your fic Beautiful Disaster and I just love it so much. I'm going to write a review I promise but right now I've been reading since I think the 10th or so chapter was out and just. Dude you're amazingly talented. The way you've altered the characters to meet your stories needs but still kept them mostly in character is phenomenal. I anxiously wait for more of you story to update every week and I really truly enjoy reading and rereading it. Never stop writing. Seriously.

Thank you so much! I worked really hard on it, and I’m really glad you’re liking it! It’s one of my longest stories and while I actually haven’t been watching as much One Piece as before, I have more stories for them.

I always worry that they’re not in character enough, but I’m really glad you think they are! I know it covers lots of topics that are touchy and hard to swallow, but I’m overjoyed that you enjoy it!

Summary:

I hooked up with the heir to the Galra Tech Empire … Do I have game or what? In which Lance is a broke as fuck aviation student who meets Keith, the heir to a giant corporate empire, and doesn’t give a damn if he stains Keith’s 800$ tie.

Based off the prompt: Person A is wealthy as fuck, and Person B is poor as fuck. Instead of Person A wooing person B using fancy dinners and buying front row tickets to concerts or sporting events, Person B takes Person A to their favourite run-down diner and shows them their favourite piece of illegal graffiti. And Person A starts to smell like greasy take-out food and it kinda turns them on?

One agonizes over words for hours and hours and writes over 5000000000 words of garbage and throws them all away and then writes 500000000 words of garbage and convinces themselves it's not garbage until 3 months later when it's garbage and now you start over again and you're kinda sick of the story cause how many different ways can you write “he sat down and drank his coffee”, and how many times can you still screw it up? WRITING IS HARD OKAYYYYY???
