For those of you who don’t already know, there is a petition going around to actually stock binders in stores (like Walmart/Kmart/Target etc.)!!!

Hey you guys! I’m really in need of the support of the Tumblr community right now. A couple days ago, my father took and smashed my phone against the floor in an argument. And, unfortunately, it no longer works.

Which is why I’m here. I need at least $300 for a new phone.  They wont pay for it, and my parents wont let me get a job; I’m still in high school. So I’m asking you guys to help me out. Without a phone I can’t call or text anyone, and my parents dont really want me to go out without one.

Here’s a testimonial from tumblr user @ashikai​ on the importance of your vote in these primaries.  It’s the latest I’ve heard in a string of cases of a candidate winning by a few, or one, votes. Your vote matters.

Ok, seriously tho. This was my first caucus ever and I cannot stress how important it is to show up! TWENTY PEOPLE showed up for my town, plus SEVEN absentee ballots, ok? That’s 27 people. The same size of a normal public school classroom (maybe a little smaller).

When it came time to vote, Bernie won, 22-5 with no undecideds and secured 2 delegates as a result. These aren’t massive numbers people; your vote can and DOES make the difference, especially on a small scale like this.

Well, this serves as a nice example of how this kind of unintentional exclusion works: When archaeologists dug up a statue of a female gladiator, threateningly brandishing some kind of weapon in a victorious warrior pose, they originally described it as “a cleaning tool” – because cleaning is a thing that women do. And, if you’re going to clean something, you might as well do it with the power of Grayskull.

Then, back in 2000, archaeologists discovered the grave of a decorated gladiator, but were confused when they saw that the body inside was female – as if a woman had accidentally fallen in the grave by mistake.

On Wednesday February 24th, 2016 Taha Omar, Muhannad Tairab, and Adam Mekki were tragically killed in a most gruesome way, execution style in Fort Wayne Indiana. These three young men are remembered by all as kind, friendly down-to-earth people. They had no enemies, they were good people yet they were killed in most cruel way. We launched a campaign to bring awareness to this tragedy, raise funds to aid the families of these young men, and to build a youth center for young men (something our community desperately needs).  Many have tried to dehumanize and demonize these young men, simply because they were young black males. They were good people and lived as such.There was no national coverage of their murder and attention was given to their deaths. They were not important to everyday Americans. Please help us spread words about their deaths and bring awareness to this tragedy.
