Trying to get 100 book sales within one year and 100 Instagram followers on my business page before the end of July is low-key tougher than I thought it would be
Tumblr being the "piss on the poor" reading comprehension site makes sense when you realize that 79% of adults in the US are functionally illiterate. Same goes for Twitter and TikTok.
that's a real high number, sport. where'd you get it?
hey anon
please tell me you didn't google "US literacy rates" and then make the funniest possible mistake one could make in that situation
The bird app has a lot of garbage but this thread really tickled me this morning:

Found out my bestie was offered to apply for a promotion at work when we work the same job and I've literally won rep of the quarter for our position for the past two quarters in a row because of my good performance but I was NEVER told or informed of this promotion opportunity and have been waiting for HR to approve my raise request for two months lowkey has me debating quitting on the spot
I never want to see Instagram or Canva ever again after this week
is this gonna get me fired you think
I've been emailing bookstores endlessly for the past week trying to get one to buy copies of my book and one finally wrote back to confirm they ordered a couple of copies 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Not be like "I told you so" to mostly me, but also to Crush who has been in the weeds with me, but I've already generated as many sales for this book in one week of promotion than I did for my last book with three months of promotion.
So I maybe might know what I'm doing, which is a bit of a longshot of a claim but hey something is working so far.

Next up someone is going to claim that the Narnia series isn't kids books.
Kids books is probably not the best way to word it, you can enjoy them at every age, including your childhood, as you get older you may find new truths in them, but they're still good for any age.
