Idea:  During a high-stress time Ladybug slips up and reveals that her name is Marinette.

Chat, of course, is immediately “MARINETTE DUPAIN-CHENG?!”  And freaking out because he knows his lady and shE’S HIS GOOD FRIEND HOLY CRAP!?!?

And, of course, Marinette is panicking big time but manages to hold herself together just long enough to, with a straight face, say “No?  There’s more than one Marinette in the world?”

And Chat just freezes because okay that’s true and he has no idea what to think.

So suddenly LB is inventing a new identity and is like “That Dupain-Cheng girl is a kid, Chat, I’m 25.  You don’t think I could do this hero thing if I was a literal child, do you?”

And Chat has an existential crisis because he’s in love with somebody like 10 years older than him and what is going on?!

And she just.  Rolls with it and starts inventing Adult Things she deals with (like taxes, and her job) and is suddenly essentially LARPing as a competent adult who moonlights as a superhero and has no idea how she’s going to get out of this mess.

Cue shenanigans.

in that moment i really was ready to do any thing if she had held onto my hand and ran in to traffic i wouldve followed like a lost puppy smeared in red sugar entranced as persephone was to the pomegranate i wouldve died right there with out a second thought and i couldnt even fault her for beguiling me so, in that moment, love was so easy ; it was blameless
