ENHYPEN'S FIRST PERFORMANCE WITHOUT HEESEUNG IS THIS SATURDAY.
the company, and the organizers of the melbourne festival had already confirmed that heeseung will not be attending— making this the first enhypen performance without heeseung.
I understand that lots of engenes are upset over this, finding it hard to accept, but we can't let the other 6 members down.
this is JAKE'S first time performing in his home country, after being an idol for so many years. I urge all engenes to show enhypen the love they deserve, after working so hard, despite all the challenges they've faced, and the unfortunate string of events that have happened as of late.
7 minutes of silence: engenes have prepared a project for the melbourne performance, titled #MelbourneSilenceProject, and I strongly disagree with this for various reasons.
1. this will only discourage and upset the members for various reasons. 7 minutes is roughly about more than two enhypen songs performed. if you stay quiet during that time? it will only raise anxiety levels in the members performing. they would worry if they did something wrong, or if their performance is bad, if they receive silence from their own fans. this is very important because usually, as shown in concerts of enhypen, they can just breathe, and the fans would be screeching with cheers. it's a big contrast, no?
2. as enhypen members have said, there have been many changes in formation and choreography, meaning they had little time to adjust to the big change without heeseung. the only thing these 6 members need right now is support. silence won't show anything, and they can't be bothered to count that you were silent for exactly 7 minutes. meaning this project could easily lose its meaning and only be a negative bubble for the members. I urge you to be loud. cheer, scream, and show support when they need it most.
a black ocean: in case you are unaware of what a black ocean is, here's a description. 'a form of silent protest where audience members deliberately turn off their lightsticks during a specific artist's performance, creating a dark, silent atmosphere to show dislike or indifference' again, I believe this will only harm the members for similar reasons.
again, enhypen members have worked relentlessly up until now. giving them a black ocean? It will discourage them immediately, and once again, the reason of our protest will be lost on enhypen and will only create a bubble of negativity and harm the members.
be loud: cheer loudly for enhypen! once they get on stage, while performing, and after!!!!
a heeseung chant: although he's not there on stage, he will always be on our minds. belift can NOT erase him, or take him away from us by distractions.
cheer for enhypen as a whole: yes, we are protesting for heeseung to come back, but at the same time this is a performance all members worked hard to show to their fans, don't forget to support them!
hold up banners to show support: jake banners, enhypen banners, and heeseung banners, anything. banners with "enhypen is 7"
hold up phones with "7" on the screen: could be perfect for media to capture, and gets the point across much more effectively.
this is the first public event after heeseung's departure. it's a festival, it will be captured, filmed, live streamed, and hybe can NOT erase that. this will allow media to talk about it, to capture it in real time, putting even more pressure on hybe and belift.
