Disney villains + concept art
when will i be someone’s cute girlfriend i’m ready now
The picture was taken in the Mankwe Wildlife Reserve, South Africa, and shows worker Lynne McTavish grieving for a rhino on the reserve who had been tragically killed by poachers. Imgur user Speldhurst, who shared this powerful photograph, said, “I have met this woman and her team and they sacrifice everything they have daily in the fight against poachers. I have seen them care for the very rhinos that are now dead; with hourly patrols, daily counts and countless checkups. Their selflessness and extraordinary kindness are like nothing else I’ve ever experienced in my entire life.”

If you think that poaching is ‘sport’ or that rhino horns can do anything for you, I despise you with every fibre of my being.
girl almighty again ⚡️
I found these gifs I made a while back for a site that’s not running anymore, so I thought I’d post them here. It’s a description of psychiatric symptoms and states of mind using a pink box and some other stuff.
These are so accurate
Interesting! Just thought I’d share!
This is actually v important and needs to be reblogged
Gonna just share this:
My European Studies professor decided a few weeks ago to take a Friday and instead of following the syllabus, he spent the entire hour and a half comparing Hitler’s actions from a European perspective to that of what Trump is doing in America. He never repeated a single point, and even used video and photos like this to show the comparison.
To make things better, he had us do an in class assignment for participation points. He first played a clip on youtube of one of Hilter’s speeches, subtitled and 3 minutes long. He then played a clip of one of Trump’s rallies. Our assignment? Copy down every single sentence that matched in translation down on a sheet of paper or a word document that wasn’t repeated. The person with the closest amount to what my professor found got a candy bar.
My professor found, in just three minutes of a speech, that Trump matched 65 different phrases/sentences to that of Hitler’s translation.
65 nearly identical phrases used in his speeches. Take a moment to think about that.
the most relatable part of the raven king is when declan asks ronan about his future and ronan literally tries to jump out of a moving car
So I had this momentary spasm of anger ‘how dare they not be matchy matchy’ as I realised the spine of The Raven King was a dark grey, before noticing that, in fact, all the spines were varying shades of grey. It was just that with the subtle gradient the previous books had going, I hadn’t noticed until The Raven King came along with its ‘who the fuck turned out the lights’ grey.
Though, of course, ‘who the fuck turned out the lights’ grey seems very appropriate against its predecessors. You go, book designers! You go!

Mansplaining, for the NYT today. Shhhhhhh.
there’s no words but you know exactly whats goin on
Places where reality is a bit altered:
• any target • churches in texas • abandoned 7/11’s • your bedroom at 5 am • hospitals at midnight • warehouses that smell like dust • lighthouses with lights that don’t work anymore • empty parking lots • ponds and lakes in suburban neighborhoods • rooftops in the early morning • inside a dark cabinet
playgrounds at night
rest stops on highways
deep in the mountains
early in the morning wherever it’s just snowed
trails by the highway just out of earshot of traffic
schools during breaks
those little beaches right next to ferry docks
bowling alleys
unfamiliar mcdonalds on long roadtrips
your friends living room once everybody but you is asleep
laundromats at midnight
any 24 hour store in the middle of the night
a country road going between two fields at dusk during a heavy snow fall
the hottest day of the summer when the cicadas start singing
the back room of a second hand/”antique” store that is in an old barn
woodsheds
the last bus of the night
peat bogs
your grandmother’s attic
abandoned vehicles
that body of water in every small town where all the stolen bikes and grocery carts get dumped
bookstores where the stacks of books go floor to ceiling
Claire Danes wearing Zac Posen.
His feelings for Adam were an oil spill; he’d let them overflow and now there wasn’t a damn place in the ocean that wouldn’t catch fire if he dropped a match.
