So Yk the new movie, masters of the universe that comes out in June right? Right so, I just wanna say that I think the main character (the guy who plays He-Man) has immense potential to be a himbo. Well he definitely looks the part when u watch the trailers, but it might just be me getting excited to see a male main character with longer hair again…

Ok Dennis Whitaker fic idea!!
Some context first (for the whole idea), I was doing my nightly music listening, and the song fake ID by big & rich was up next and I remembered that the song was in footloose (2011) I’ve watched that movie so many times just for miles teller
anyways, I was thinking how cute of a fic idea it would be if (forgive me for some inaccuracies I haven’t actually watched the pitt I’ve just been larping… 👩🏾🦯➡️) Dennis, reader, santos, and maybe some other friends were at a bar and they were just chatting at first but then the song Fake ID comes on and reader is a big fan of footloose so she knows the dance and is about to get up and dance but she sees Dennis subtly doing the moves in his seat since he’s a country bumpkin (that’s just what I’ve gathered from fanfics and I figured since he’s a country boy he would be hella good at line dances despite being a lil shy) so she invites him to go with her (it would kinda be like the scene between rusty and Willard when she is trying to get him to come dance with her at the club but in our scenario Dennis would actually go dance) and they go do the line dance together on the dance floor and santos records 😛
Ok so who’s ready to take one for the team and write some Jaafar Jackson (as mj or himself) and *MORE* miles teller fics (u could also throw in him as John Blanca cuz that long hair had me clawing at my seat)???????
I was listening to now or never from the hsm3 soundtrack and it hit me that ichigo and orihime are basically just Troy and Gabriella
(Specifically the part of the song where Gabriella yells out “troyyyyy” in the middle of the game)
(Also im just now realizing that Gabriella is a very pretty name)
I’m watching bleach rn and renji and orihime are lowkey on fraud watch 🤷🏾♀️
I’m on eps 90 (cuz I genuinely like filler) and by this point in time renji has yet to actually WIN a fight and orihime (I’m literally trying SO HARD not to jump on the hate train for her cuz ik it’s takes a while for her character to build up but good God girl DO SOMETHING!!) has yet to prove that she can carry her own weight in all these battles without having to rely on others
More commentary -
Renji: ok so I do admire the fact that he always ready to run that fade by any means necessary, but bro you been in 50 fights so far and have won ONE. But I mean atleast he never scared to get active (like orihime…), is he gonna win if he gets in a fight? Nope. Is he gonna lose? Absolutely! But what matters is his fighting spirit, which atleast makes him try even if he know he’s not gonna win
Orihime: I DONT HATE HER I PROMISE but rn she’s not exactly making it easy to love her 😓 I have seen some explanations of orihime’s character (that actually make sense) which is why I haven’t hopped on the hate train, but watching her scenes irritate me so bad like girl PLEASE ik you can be useful so DO IT!! One of the things that really gets me is the fact that orihime literally could’ve been rangiku!!! Both have big boobs (which was never a problem for orihime since it’s normal for some hs girls to have big boobs) and rangiku is even more exposed than orihime is yet she hasn’t been as sexualized as orihime has (which is weird cuz I’m pretty sure rangiku is atleast 18+ and orihime is 15-16…) not to mention she has proven herself more than useful and capable in battles while still being her cheeky self! THATS WHAT I NEED MAIN FEMALE CHARACTER ORHIME TO BE!!! But I digress 😔 all I can do is hope that her character progresses later on in the story
Will renji abarai and orihime inoue make it out of my fraud watch?

Now that I think about it… all those fanfics from back in the day when y/n had Wanda’s powers but purple where basically just manifesting Agatha in the mcu
Tbh the stark!reader trope in marvel fanfics is not the best option IN MY OPINION, so I just wonder if writers have tried to use other (poc) characters in the whole “characters daughter” trope. If not that’s fine really but if smb did want to try I got some ideas down below (if you are interested)
Williard’s (miles teller) gf in footloose being a black woman (or woc I’m not exactly sure what race she is I’m just going off instinct) is SO revolutionary for me guys
