If a library allows you to have a digital card and not live in the area, you are NOT taking away resources from other people, that's not how anything works. Please keep doing it!!! I tell this story all the time but I'll tell it again! When I taught kindergarten full time, we had a working bee one weekend where we did a bunch of gardening/landscaping in the outdoor area. One of the dads put up a bit of fencing, then stood back and had a look, kind of frowning like he wasn't sure. His wife then came along, and the following conversation ensued:
Wife: GETMO? Husband: (after a moment, with a sigh) Yeah, GETMO. Me: GETMO? Wife and husband, in perfect unison: Good Enough To Move On

whenever someone calls me and says they're from my bank or car loan company or whatever and asks me security questions, I always tell them "excuse me, you called me, how can you prove who you are" and every single time they act like it's the first time anyone's ever asked that, which absolutely boggles my mind. for the love of fuck please do not answer "security questions" when you didn't initiate the call, at least without making them answer a few first
Never give them your info!
I agree, never give your info in a call you didn't initiate. Phone numbers can be spoofed. They may actually sound like your bank or credit card company.
If you receive a call, hang up and call back using the phone number on their website. Explain that you received a call about X and if it's legit, they'll be able to tell you so. They're also not usually going to get mad if you say "I'm going to hang up and call you back." Scams will though. Because you won't be calling THEM back, you'll be alerting the bank someone is committing fraud in their name. So they'll get urgent about it. Ignore them and hang up. Call back on an actual line.

Its absolutely insane how much backsliding the public consciousness has intentionally done over the last couple years alone in regards to feminism. Like, all of these things were basic feminist concepts that most people anywhere left of center understood and accepted as late as 2024. Y'all remember the "would you rather encounter a strange man in the woods or a bear" question? That whole thing happened just two fucking years ago!

Domestic pig (Sus domesticus), more specifically of the Hungarian Mangalica breed, also spelled as Mangalitsa or Mangalitza. Mangalica pigs are the only surviving breed of pig with long coats of hair and, besides blond ones like the stunning individuals above, they also come in “swallow-bellied” (darker hair on the upper portion of their bodies, lighter hair on the lower portion, not unlike a Doberman or Rottweiler) and red varieties!
