Quack quack! 🐥 Part 1
It’s been so long since my last comic, so I thought I’d just do something silly lol! I think I’ll start making comics again, I’ve had so much fun on this one!! I like to think Lucifer plays with his ducks like barbies😆✨
i NEED people to realise foreshadowing is. in fact. a literary device. and not a Bad Thing. the audience picking up on your hints is a Good Thing. because. it makes the story and it’s conclusion make sense. and some people will not see those but enjoy seeing them on a second read through. red herrings are one thing but if your novel consists of nothing but red herrings it’s not a coherent story it’s just a collection of paragraphs that don’t actually plausibly link to one another. you're not fighting with the audience you don’t look clever you look like you don’t know how basic fiction works. be vulnerable for once in your goddamn life and don't treat writing like a game to be won where the audience losing is a good thing.
Getting to the end of a story and going "THE CLUES WERE THERE THE WHOLE TIME!" is always joyous for me whether or not I picked up on the clues leading up
If I saw the clues and caught the hints then yes! I am clever and me and the author/creator/artist etc were in on it together the whole time!
If I didn't notice the clues or got fooled but can clearly see them in hindsight then "Ha! You won this time storyteller! I am delighted by this game we play!' and then I enjoy putting the pieces together afterwards and enjoying how clever it was. I feel like the creator respects me as an audience
If there is a "twist" that comes with 0 clues or foreshadowing at all I'm annoyed. I'm pissed off. I feel like I'm being condescended to and patronised. It's not clever or interesting and makes me annoyed I ended up caring about characters and plot points that ended up meaningless.
Because it's not that these stories don't have foreshadowing or plot clues. They just abandon it for a "surprising twist"
A story that pays off the clues is letting me into the fun and makes a participant in the story
A story that just gives me a "shock" but no pay off is telling me not to engage or get attached or care. So why would I watch?
OMG! THIS!
Random plot twists that don't connect to anything in the story are not clever. If we don't see it coming because the writer didn't provide any clues, they aren't clever and it's totally unsatisfying (and I will NEVER read this writer again). These clues need not be lit up in neon with a parade of elephants and showgirls. But they need to be present
I'm a writer and am rarely surprised. Often, if I am surprised it's because the writer was a dumbass and included a "twist" that makes no sense (and therefore isn't really a twist, it's just random bullshit). If a writer genuinely surprises me, without being an absolute dumbass, I am FUCKING DELIGHTED! I will tell everyone I know to read the book/see the movie/watch the show.
Foreshadowing is the reward for paying attention. It's the story letting you in on the secret like a co-conspirator because you're the clever little audience member who has been picking up on the clues the writer has been setting up.
It even makes watching/reading again more worthwhile because if you didn't notice the foreshadowing the first time you have the joy of being able to notice the things you missed!
Tumblr Sexyman Contest 2026 Round 1 Part 74
Bushroot (Darkwing Duck)
Alastor (Hazbin Hotel)
Happy Pride Month to everyone 🌈
Especially these two freaks
I noticed something interesting in the new Pride merch… The colors on Alastor’s hat appear to match the graysexual flag (purple, gray, white, gray, purple)
graysexuality is a label on the asexual spectrum. It generally describes people who experience sexual attraction rarely, only under specific circumstances… I’m not saying this confirms anything about Alastor’s identity, but it’s an interesting detail considering Viv has previously described attraction and identity as part of his personal journey
Whether intentional or not, it’s definitely a fascinating choice of colors for a character who is already canonically ace

Testing the extent of Lucifer's limitation 🤔
Have some doodles of them 🃏🍎
"It was just a joke!"
Sure. It also wasn't very funny and it bombed. And now you have to deal with that.
"You can't even tell a joke anymore!?"
You can and you did. And people can react to it. Here we are.
Relatedly, this is one of my pet peeves about people who use shock humour
Shock humour only works because there's a high risk of failure. The idea is that you are saying something socially shocking - something that your audience knows is "wrong" to say. It winds your audience's emotions up tight, like a spring, so that they have to 'release' into a response.
You're hoping that response will be laughter, to break the tension. Often it is. The "I cannot believe you just said that" reaction. A famous internet example is "I also choose this guy's dead wife".
But, it very well might unwind the other way, into visceral rejection, and you have to be okay with that. It was only funny because of the risk of failure! You can't throw a fit about it if it does, in fact, fail
yep. here's my take: some people are not actually making a joke and don't intend to risk anything. rather they are taking advantage of the social convention that says shocking or insulting statements are forgiven if they are jokes, and using that to say something they know is not appropriate. then they pass it off as a joke so you can't get mad. i have met several such people, one major tell was 1) they didn't use humor when it wasn't degrading- ever. even when there was a golden opportunity to say something that was actually funny 2) they took other opportunities to be mean and get away with it 3) when i responded politely to the non-joke but didn't laugh, that wasn't good enough for them and they got mad
ok I can't tell if I'm genuinely tweaking
or maybe it's because I'm a newer Hazbin fan and watched both seasons back to back so maybe I have a different perspective?
but while looking for radioapple content, I see SO many people having such strong feelings of disdain for the ship and I truly don't get it
like TRUST me it is totally ok to not ship it or not want it to become canon but people act like shipping it and/or wanting it to become canon is insane behavior
meanwhile from my POV they clearly have some type of interest in each other even if it's just rage baiting and rivals-to-lovers is a well known trope...
idk just the people acting like it's the crackiest crack ship ever and that it would be absolutely nonsensical for it to become canon confuse me a bit... even then it's fine if you feel that way but having legit hatred for the ship and the shippers (unless it's warranted, I know certain shippers take it too far) is just a LOT imo. ok yap over!
More parts of Au!The Princess and the Frog. It took me many hours and days to finish these drawings/edits. And I learned to draw deer!🫂
maybe y'all didn't notice but fat people who don't hate ourselves sure did notice that people were obsessed with shitting on fat people in the late 90s and early 2000s (conservative political time) and now are again (fascist political time), coincidentally while the market for weight loss has become a 90 billion dollar industry due to glp1s.
you are not immune to propaganda. it makes some people a whole hell of a lot of money for you to hate fat people and fear becoming (or staying, I think like 70% or something of the US is fat) one of us.
a lot of the fearmongering over fatness comes from studies directly funded by the weight loss industry...i think people don't really realize or think about the fact that research can absolutely be influenced and skewed by its funding. there is also research that shows that an amount of the negative health outcomes for fat people come from anti-fat bias. if you go to the doctor with concerns and the doctor simply tells you to lose weight, your problem is neglected and you may not even bother going to the doctor with the next problem.
every fat person you know for the most part probably has a story like this, of medical neglect. many of the stories i've heard personally are when the complaint or the doctor wasn't related at all, like being told to lose weight at the ear nose and throat doctor or at the dentist. it's straight up just bias. it's such a thing that in the show Shrill it's portrayed, when Aidy Bryant goes to the gynecologist and her doctor suggests she get gastric bypass.
the studies on health and fatness are simply not that black and white and there is basically no research that shows that more than an incredibly tiny minority of people can lose weight and keep it off for more than like 2 years. bodies have set points that they gravitate towards, it's not a personal failure. this also is how the weight loss industry succeeds so well - repeat customers.
some of the harm associated with fatness is also due to weight cycling, which is very hard on your body and is even worse if you get off a GLP1, which according to a recent study causes weight to be regained at a rate that is 4x faster than without taking a GLP1.
you don't have to hate yourself. you don't have to hate other people for their body type either. it makes me so sad to see the thinspo tag going around again in 2026 a lot like it was back in the day.

A study spanning almost four decades and involving more than 100,000 adults in Denmark found that those with an 'overweight' body mass index
there's so much crazy shit once you go down the rabbit hole. for example, BMI was not invented by anyone with a medical background. it was never meant to measure individual health.
The U.S. weight loss industry reached an unprecedented high in 2023, estimated at $90 billion, largely driven by surging sales of the widely
Evidence is mounting that our body fat supports everything from our bone health to our mood, and now, research suggests it also regulates bl
just gonna reblog this forever because i love fat people and we deserve fuckin basic human dignity and respect regardless of our weight
A friend who has no knowledge of Hazbin Hotel asked me what my favorite pairing from the show is and I told them, "It's honestly a pretty even split between the cat and the spider or the cannibal and the devil," and they said, "That sentence is so beautiful I never want to know what the show's about."
‼️🔞TW: Blood
I’ve been reading #RuinationofLucifer by @syaunei and I made this drawing inspired by chapter 17. I swear, this story is an absolute GEM, I’m obsessed!!
Very pretty
Lucifer's punishment is evil in poetic form. "You can be a King, but you won't have the power of one. Humans may keep their free will, but you will pay for it with yours. You defied us because you wanted them to have it, now watch them squander it, watch what free will truly entails, watch them choose to be wicked. You will not be allowed to interfere with their world like you did on earth. Never again. You will watch evil unfold and be powerless to stop it, an angel without a purpose, an angel unable to do good, an angel seperated from his nature. You will spend eternity longing for the star in the sky you were cast out of. It will remain in your view, to mock you, to pain you, to haunt you. You will never see the good we created, only the evil you raught. You may keep your angelic form, the one we gave you, but deep down you will be demonic and wrong. Your dreams have been heard, and you have been judged. This is the crown you acted like you deserved, and it will weigh heavy on you. You will be King, you may keep your pride, but how much is your pride worth when everything else is lost?"
Seeing Lucifer in a fluffy pink robe opened my third eye
