Just remembered Yang thirsting over Wonder Woman, and I have a feeling she would die a happy woman if she met Kyoshi and Rangi
I've seen Azula shipped with many characters and some I can understand.
But there's something about Tyzula that really scratches my brain in the right ways. Follower to bestie, to enemies (to lovers). I love ships with complicated pasts. Give me sapphic Romeo and Juliet (minus the death of both)
And they are literally the "She was a punk, she did ballet" meme
Jokes aside, in her own very peculiar way, Azula cared. Seen as a weapon by the father she was desperate to please. Seen as a monster (or so she thought) by her own mother. Seen as a threat and liar by her big brother, who then abandoned her not once (banishment), but twice for the Avatar, to take down the only person who ever paid a little attention to her.
Mai and Ty Lee were her only friends, although she had to share the first with her brother.
So really, Ty Lee was hers and hers only.
Just the other day I finished the rewatch of atla and I couldn't look at the scene of Azula's defeat. Both her and Ty Lee were not having a good time.
Only Ty Lee got out with only a slap on her wrist, Mai returned to her bisexual disaster of a boyfriend, and she was thrown in an asylum- which if anyone other then Zuko, they would have probably even thrown the key in the vulcano. Hell, Zuko is undecided himself if he should throw it or not.
There would be a lot of potential, especially for a doomed but redeemable yuri when we think about Sozin's laws outlawing homosexuality (envious little bitch)
I'll stop here, I am procrastinating too much and fixating a lot on Azula. Maybe I can resume my thoughts on Tyzula in the future
>if anyone other then Zuko, they would have probably even thrown the key in the vulcano
Which basically what he did, until he needed to use her to find mother.
Well, metaphorically he did, but technically he didn't 😂 As I was writing I was thinking that, if it had been Katara, for example, she would have commissioned a little painting of her yeeting the key in the magma to gift Azula, right after locking the princess up.
Althought it is still awful of him to free her only because he needed something/Ozai forced his hand.
You mean the same Katara who looked actually sad when she saw Azula's breakdown, while Zuko where unsure at best?
Listen, I forgot the arc where she came to realise revenge isn't worth it, okay? Would you like to remind me anything else since we are here?

Rangshi having canonical favourite parts of each other is sooooo cute actually I'm gonna combust.
Rangi: Kyoshi's hands and her neck.
Kyoshi: Rangi's face and hair.
#I just know that Kyoshi really dislikes going to the fire nation #Because NO FOREHEAD KISSES???
Silly little doodle of the first time she arrived in the FN, because I couldn't get teary eyed Kyoshi out of my mind
so, Rangi calls Kyoshi "Sweetheart" Kyoshi calls Rangi "Love"
Kyoshi is the ultimate passenger princess and Rangi doesn't mind at all when her 7ft tall girlfriend uses her as a pillow.
Rangi is an incredible everything for Kyoshi, I wonder how could Kyoshi function as the Avatar when her wife managed her schedule so well.
They are so good together, my heart almost gave out by the sweetness.
Also, this isn't related to Rangshi, but I was thinking that if Azula and Suki came before Rangi, then she could have been their child 😂 Azula for obvious reasons, but her hairstyle reminded me of Suki.
But since Suki is born like three hundred years later, now my hc is that she found a portrait of Rangi and, after reading her story, decided to copy her hairstyle and tried to become a great warrior like the Avatar's companion.
Kyoshi and Rangi from new official comics "Masters of the Elements"!
They are so cute together!
I just love living outside the city. At night there's this bird that sounds like a sonar, with its rhythmic uh... uh... uh... My aunt finds it a bit annoying but I just find it humorous.

Today is my birthday, so I'm reposting my fav atla pieces
Alexandra Căpitănescu's Choke Me is very Azula coded, I think. (Ignoring the abusing 'romantic' love aspect of the lyrics)
[Verse 1] Phantom, you feel like a phantom Why do you wanna tame me? It's hard to breathe in Do you feel me?
In this first verse the Phantom could be Ursa, maybe her ways to control Azula's violent tendencies were more suffocating for her. Yes, you tell her to stop doing something, but maybe you could also redirect those energies and tendencies into something else not training related? idk I am no parent. Or also Ozai, that ultimately wanted a weapon, not his daughter- this could be the moment she realizes that. She struggled to reach his standards, becoming what he wanted, not what she wanted
[Pre-Chorus] Do what I say And don't you ever betray me You are here to obey me Are you not?
These meanwhile are very Ozai coded, the pre-chorus is him talking to her, reminding her of her place.
[Chorus] All I need is your love I want it to choke me, choke me, choke me Born for you to control, I want you to choke me Ch-ch-ch-choke me, ch-ch-ch-choke me Love me, make my lungs explode like Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh All I need is your love, I want it to choke me Ch-ch-ch-choke me, ch-ch-ch-choke me
The chorus it's from Azula's perspective longing for his love (parental one), it doesn't matter if it hurts, as long as she's loved. She is desperate.
[Verse 2] Save me Inside I'm blazing I want you to call me, call me, call me, call My body is begging
To be fair, this could be read romantically if you ship Azula with anyone. In my case it could be like her unconsciously wishing for Ty Lee to save her. Or if you don't, she's still begging for scraps of the only parental figure able to look at her- and kinda present: her father. Meanwhile she's burning her candle from both sides.
Poor meow meow, someone give her a mochi or twenty

From Open Culture:
We have released over a million images onto Flickr Commons for anyone to use, remix and repurpose. These images were taken from the pages of 17th, 18th and 19th century books digitised by Microsoft who then generously gifted the scanned images to us, allowing us to release them back into the Public Domain. The images themselves cover a startling mix of subjects: There are maps, geological diagrams, beautiful illustrations, comical satire, illuminated and decorative letters, colourful illustrations, landscapes, wall-paintings and so much more that even we are not aware of.

Ooook, I need help. I am currently writing my thesis but I wanted to check something:
Was Dreamcatcher the first group to bring rock/metal (and a dark concept overall) in the k-pop/idol scene?
I know there were rock singers and groups before them, but I think they were more like Chrocktikal (so creating art for the sake of art, as I see it, idols are more commercial)?
some people think writers are so eloquent and good with words, but the reality is that we can sit there with our fingers on the keyboard going, “what’s the word for non-sunlight lighting? Like, fake lighting?” and for ten minutes, all our brain will supply is “unofficial”, and we know that’s not the right word, but it’s the only word we can come up with…until finally it’s like our face got smashed into a brick wall and we remember the word we want is “artificial”.
I couldn't remember the word "doorknob" ten minutes ago.
ok but the onelook thesaurus will save your life, i literally could not live without this website
