Eureka isnât just a town, itâs an idea. A place where intellectual aptitude is celebrated, not ridiculed. Not only is it okay to be smart, geeky, or obsessive⌠itâs required. Donât let all the explosions, AI takeovers, and space-time disturbances fool you. Eureka is a damn fine place to live. - Amy Berg (co-executive producer/writer)
i canât get over how crazy much ado is sometimes. it feels like a deconstruction of shakespeareâs other comedies when you look at how quick and lovesick and beautiful hero and claudio are and how well they fit the script of just classic young lovers, things like how hero is one of the only characters to speak in verse, the way claudio praises her to all his friends etc. and then how in the middle of the play the script is completely flipped. now hero is in danger because of what claudio believes and no one can help her. and suddenly the love story shatters because the same willingness claudio has to fall in love with her at first sight is the same willingness he has to believe a baseless accusation and the love story starts to descend into horror because thereâs no legal course of action hero can appeal to her and her own father insults and disowns her at her wedding and sheâs quite literally left for dead fainting on the ground with her father saying let her die, what is it to me? itâs insane because like 30 minutes before itâs just a happy comedy love story but shakespeare shows a real darkness to the genre because claudio may think he loves her but when it comes down to it he will never trust her. her word isnât good enough. no one is going to listen to the woman
In case you missed it: we're crowdfunding for season 3! Over the next few days we'll highlight some of our reward tiers, but what better place to start than with our stickers! Here are our first 4 stickers for the S3 crowdfund. This includes our new season 3 logo, two designs from season 2 (Womb's Haunted, and our 22Fun B Baker logo), and one exclusive design for season 3...
Why "first 4," you're asking? Because we have more but we'll need your help to unlock them! Over the course of the month, we'll have some goals that you can help us with that will unlock new sticker designs that will ship automatically to all $30 and up tiers (no matter when you back)! Our first goal is to hit $3000 pledged in 72 hours, and we're in a great place to hit that goal! Just 24 hours in, we're sitting at $2,621, which means we're under $400 from the goal!
Thank you to everyone who has pledged and helped spread the word so far!
The award-winning comedy-mystery audio drama about the (second) best detectives in London is raising funds for its third season!
Our season 3 Kickstarter is live! Fawx & Stallion is a comedy-mystery podcast about the best detective team in London! Not that one. The other one. Across the street, and slightly to the left, at 224B Baker Street. We've successfully solved two mysteries, and we'll need your help to get a crack at a third! Scripts are written, pre-production has begun, and all we need is the funding to make this show's engine start in earnest!
Season one of the show was primarily self-financed, and season two's 10 episodes were crowdfunded and produced for $8000. For season 3, we are telling a story unlike any you've heard, with 12 full-cast episodes. Thank you to our Patreon members who have helped finance our pre-production and our wonderful team of five guest writers! For this season, we are asking for $10,000 to bring this sprawling, absurd, ambitious story to life.
We invite you to check out our crowdfunding page, which is live now, for more info on the season, our budget breakdown, and our fantastic set of rewards (early access! annotated Holmes stories! stickers! for the first time, the opportunity to name a character or provide walla for the show!)
In the interest of highlighting our rewards, take a look at our first set of 4 stickers, because we have an offer for you: help us get $3000 in pledges in the first 72 hours, and we'll add a FIFTH pride-themed sticker to all $30 and up tiers!
More info about the season under the cut!
What can you expect from season 3?
LONDON, 1892! Now established as the go-to detective team in London, Fawx & Stallion are hired by a Canadian showbiz duo who believes they've brought a Curse with them across the Atlantic. The case kicks off a chain of events that sprawl across a rapidly-evolving London and threaten not only the soul of the city, but also the character development of the last two seasons!
As a team, we're always asking ourselves how we can continue to grow with this story, how we can challenge not only our characters, but ourselves - how we can find new ways to expand what this story can be. In doing that, we ended up with a set of scripts that are more ambitious than anything we've attempted before. Some things you can expect out of Season Three:Â
More Episodes! This season weâre expanding our plate to 12 episodes! Thatâs 2-to-2.5 more than usual! Why? Keep reading!
More Writers! Part of the concept for this season was to expand not just the world of the show, but even our own conception of it! With that in mind, this season features new mysteries crafted by 5 incredible guest artists including Bob Raymonda (Forgive Me!, Windfall), Newton Schottelkotte (Where the Stars Fell), Christopher Hainsworth (Monstrous Regiment, Midnight Cowboy), Sam Robotham (Dead Coats, Chocolate Grandpa), and Shawn Pfautsch & Jessica Ridenour (The Green Heron; Season on the Line and Captive)!
Serialized Mysteries! Thatâs right: along with our season-long arc, within this season you can expect full-meal, original, beginning-to-end mysteries! Fawx & Stallion are getting new cases and you are going to see more of them than ever before, in our love letter to the Golden Age of Detective Fiction!Â
More World Building! One of our favorite things that came from Season Two was getting to explore our version of Victorian London. This season we really dove in on that idea, getting a larger picture of the colorful characters and ludicrous locations that make up the world of the show, including (but not limited to) the West End, the Victorian Culinary Scene, Secret Clubs, the Sewers of London, a Yacht Party, a Trip to the Countryside, and Big Ben!
New Characters! Season Three is easily the most expansive season weâve done so far, and with that expanse comes a dearth of new characters, new voices, and new stories. We've got over 100 characters in this new season!Â
Special Surprises! You didnât think weâd show all our cards in the crowdfund, did you? As much as weâd love to, all weâll say is this season is so special in the evolution of Fawx & Stallion, the show and characters. Maybe it includes talking animals! Maybe one of them gets a dog! Maybe there are musical numbers! Who knowsâŚ?
#mr darcy being mr darcy #further proof that darcy loves his wife because if it were up to him, he would never allow anyone into his home #the man likes 3 people, his bestie, his sister and his wife
âEnola Holmes could be first canon johnlockâ âS&Co. could be first canon johnlockâ WE ALREADY GOT FIRST CANON JOHNLOCK IN FAWX AND STALLION. THEY KISSED. IT WAS VERY EMOTIONAL. THEREâS AN ANIMATIC ON YOUTUBE.
* New student, very small. Grace said it was pebble. Pebble is small Earth rock. Pebble likes name.
* He found out Eridians have no gender rules.
* Students brought him mineral sample. After he stopped crying he said he loves show-and-tell game. Human naming conventions oddly literal.
* I told him Earthsun grew bright.
* I took him up atop atmosphere bypass elevator to look at stars.
* He woke up from nap and found me still with him. I did not wait on his chest; he says I am heavy like âelephantâ and he âcouldnât breathe.â I laid my arm over him instead, kept him close, feeling safe. He said âcuddleâ was warm.
* Before class he heard younglings singing.
* He has plants in house from sprouts on ship. Plant grew âbud.â
* Engineers got seawater temperature right. He took off shoes and stood in water, sighing. He didnât care about pants getting damp. Cried until shirt was also damp. Humans very endlessly wet.
* He missed âDoritos.â
* Adrian helped food scientists make taumoeba dried paste. Made it crunchy after heating. We fused it into triangle form. Told him it was Tauritos. That made him laugh-cry. Laugh-cry is rare and precious.
* He remembered Eridians have no gender rules.
* We made him celebration outfit. Used metals he calls pretty. He can see frequencies named âcolorfulâ and âshiny.â These make humans happiest.
* I gave him hug when he wasnât expecting it. Easier to hug close now with exosuit. Hug when Grace sitting down so he does not fall over.
* Told him to think long time, stay with me as long as he can.
Toby Ziegler walked into the presidents office said âYour father beat you didnât he Mr. Presidentâ completely unprompted and then sent Bartlet into a four day insomnia spiral so bad he needed to see a therapist over it
i think there is a statue of grace. on the campus of the university where he got his phd. it's a big base, like the statue atop it is going to be a larger than life hero standing brave. but instead it is him, life size, sitting with his feet dangling off the edge and turned slightly to the side like he is in conversation.
there is room to sit next to him. students like to hop up and sit next to dr. grace to get advice, vent, just take a minute. he's a friend to all on campus
My friends and I all took a âwhich Jane Austen love interest would you fall for?â and I was like ooh ooh I hope I get Mr. Knightley. But also if they have Henry Tilney on there heâs super underrated and I would get his humor better than Catherine anyway so I want him too. One of my friends said she wanted Mr. Darcy and I was like eh hard pass. Everyone looked at me like I committed sacrilege and I was like look! I love him! As a character! And I think heâs great for Elizabeth! I am really super happy that Elizabeth ended up with him. And also perfectly content to not be Elizabeth because heâs just not for me. And then we took the test and I got Mr. Darcy and one of my friends said âI forgot not liking him was a prerequisite for falling in love with himâ and I threw my phone at her (spiritually, not physically, bc phones are expensive)
