One thing about Aerion I wish more people got right is that... That boy does NOT shout. He is very secure in sense of superiority. The way that Peacemaker season 1 plays out has me assuming that Peacemaker has known he is bi well before Rick Flag Jr, the way that Auggie is distainful of it gives the impression that this is a long standing tension between them.

I have always found that interesting too, that despite how he grew-up and his dad being Nazi and although they clearly would never have talked about it explicitly, the fact Chris is bisexual is like an open secret between them and iirc Chris doesn't try to deny it or anything.

So I think that Chris wouldnt at all be surprised to be attracted to Rick Flag Jr but his sincere believe in Rick Flag Jr's style of heroism challanged a lot of his core believes and shook him up.

Which leads me to like how eager Chris is for Harcourt's love and acceptance because I do believe he loves her romantically but I also think that almost desperation for it is in part fueled by left over by the influnce of his father, who believed that a man that was truly successful got the love from the crowd and the girl and I think if we find out that in Earth X, Chris 2 had the option of a relationship with Harcourt but was medicsting on drugs because he was also attracted to Rick Flag Jr, then Chris 1 would have a real like mental break down.

Sorry that didnt really go anywhere I'm just thinking of what a pay-off that would be for Chris's arc this season

Fairss, ive seen season 1 ages agoo, my memorys not that great. It creates such an interesting dynamic with Chris and his dad.

As for Harcourt and Chris, yeah, you can feel the desperation and clinging to that connection. Especially bc it seems like Chris thinks This Is It, his last and only chance at love, and he seems to be forcing parts of him to fit this idea that he has. It would certainly be eye opening and a revelation for him to find out that x-Chris and Rick Flag were in lovr or an item or exes, and how he maybe can find happiness and/or love in a ways he doesnt expect

Cant wait for new episode, we shall see how close we are in our theories

My headbanging is that TSS Peacemaker was attracted to Rick Flag Jr (bc you know he hot) and the feelings intenstified when he realized that he really believed in Rick Flag Jr as a hero, as the best of what humanity had to offer, it's why after he killing home basically triggers his character change. Since then Rick has been haunting the narrative and part of the reason Peacemaker stays in Earth X is because Rick Flag Jr is alive there and he considers that one of two of his greatest mistakes in life.

I would also love to write a fic where Rick Flag Jr 2 gets brought back to our Earth and Chris doesn't know what to do with someone who loved a version of him that was the worst (nazi ver of himself) and still loves him now and them both just kinda circle each other as the 11th street kids become an official team and deal with street level crime on the weekly. Rick Flag Jr would like be working for the gov again

Speaking of Flagmaker why hasnt anyone wrote a heartwrenching angst with a happy ending fic of Peacemaker getting stuck in a timeloop of the most horrible 24 hours of his life (Corto Maltese)

And at the start he doesnt realise its a time loop and he thinks its a horrible case of deja vu. But once he does, the main thing he tries to change is not to kill Rick Flag but he ends up dying no matter how hard Chris tries, in many different ways, always because of Chris

Then he gives up and lets Rick kill him, many many times as a way to quench his guilt but he always ends up coming back, and he keeps losing his mind bc he has no idea to get out of it

So he tries to remove himself from the equasion, he runs away from the battle in many creative esys but always ends up dying anyway. Then he locks Rick away so hed be safe but it doesnt work of course. Then maybe tries to convince Rick to run away together

At a low point he ends up confessing hes stuck in a loop and Rick believes him bc he can predict everything to a T. Still that doesnt change anything. One of them always ends up dying in thr final battle

So Chris had to figure out a way for both of them to survive, and maybe stop developing feelings for basically a dead man

Rooster lets him believe it because 1. Its funny and 2. He genuinelly couldnt give less of a shit in trying to prove anything to people. But being around Jake always got Bradley a bit more reckless and competitive. So one time when Jake goes too far and spends the entire evening claiming Rooster is the most boring sex partner ever, for sure, Bradley is determined to prove him wrong

And so Rooster bids his time until later that evening to charm Jake out of his pants in 5 seconds flat and rock his world. Jake doesnt even realise whats going on unil hes breathless with it and has to admit he was wrong all along. And that he might actually want to do it again, and again

Rooster keeps his cool with the Daggers and doesnt offer a peep but he doesnt really have to becausw now he has Jake bragging about Rooster's prowess in bed to anyone whod listen
