This year's gingerbread house! I thought I'd keep it simple this year with just a house, and then I started thinking TOO simple (ie abandoned, run-down cottage), and it turns out that it takes some work to make it seem so worn (like tinting the icing brown and coating all the candies in icing too to make them look old and dirty/faded). Who knew? (Also please remind me to NEVER make an angled chimney again.)

Anyway, have some more photos:

100% edible, yes I made curtains, yes there is a floor inside, yes the broken/crooked parts are supposed to be broken/crooked and yes the chimney CAN actually stand without the support (I just liked how the support looked).
