It's spooky season! So here are some spooky Gontas.
(Some of them have it better than the others!)
I came up with little scenarios for each one under the read more. They were fun to write :)
Vampire:
a vampire who had to adjust his diet after leaving the forest. He lived off animal blood during his time there, but when he returned his ""human"" family put him on to normal blood from blood banks. It was unfortunately a shock to the system and left him terrified of losing control near others. Aside from his fear of hurting others, I think vampire Gonta could make peace with the idea of needing to drink blood. Carnivores (and blood-drinking insects!) are a part of nature, and deserve to exist as much as other creatures, after all. But it's the 'potentially hurting others' part of the vampire package he has problems with.
Witch/Wizard:
a down-to-earth mage living in an enchanted forest that's somehow within reach of any village that needs him. He uses his magic to help insects and humans alike with gentle healing spells, spells for warmth, and protective wards amongst other things. He also helps with humane pest control, being able to charm bugs and bring them to his enchanted larger-on-the-inside greenhouse. It's said that if you tell an insect about your problem and politely ask it for help, he'll arrive on your doorstep within a few hours. It's also said that anyone who doesn't treat insects with respect will be cursed with bad luck - in reality, the 'curse' is that Gonta warns the insects to stay away from dangerous people and their territory. This could lead to vital crops dying from lack of pollination, so it's best to treat bugs nicely...
Demon:
a fallen angel with a love for living creatures so strong he would stand against gods. He uses his powers to avert disasters and make life easier for any human, animal or insect - but sometimes this goes against the interests of his superiors. E.g, intervening in religious battles, becoming friends with demons, performing 'miracles' to the point he makes people/creatures rely on him. His halo started to fracture after each "rebellion", and once it broke became lodged into his head like demon horns.
Zombie:
a corpse that wakes up. ...Uhh real talk for a second zombies creep me out, I can't stand thinking of them, so there's no story for this one sorry! Maybe it's some kind of Team Danganronpa "we wanted to make participants that could come back to life so we could make more killing games, but oh no! We fucked around and found out!" sort of scenario.
Werebeast:
a werewolf who sometimes enjoys his wolf form more than his human form. As a wolf, provided he's near a forest or other large expanse of countryside, he just has a grand old time running around and examining insects up close and enjoying his heightened senses. If he's not near the countryside, he coops himself up in his bedroom for fear of scaring others, and watches insects to pass the time. He's also very big and fluffy in wolf form.
Mad Scientist:
a doctor that uses himself as a test subject. His specialty is engineering biological components of insects into humans (hence the fly eye and antennae). Despite his tendency to enact crimes against humanity he's got a good bedside manner. You only go to him if you're desperate and you don't mind an insect modification or two. He seems insane, and he basically is, but he genuinely loves the chance to help people with his entomological knowledge.
