This is the first photo in my new Fantasy and Fiction photo project where I will create images that convey some sort of fictional or fantasy story. What story does this photo tell you?

Here is a photo I put together of my Minolta Maxxum 5000 35mm SLR. I shot this using a white poster board to create a continuous background. I lit each side of the camera and the background using two soft boxes, then lit the front of the camera with a strobe. I pulled the purple out that you see in the lens using some purple/blue saturation adjustment in Lightroom.

People In Seattle
Sitar Man
This man was playing a Sitar on the street at the Pike Place Market in Seattle. He did not look happy, but he sure did make wonderful music.
Starbucks Blues This guy was rocking out in front of the very first Starbucks.
The Lock Keeper This guy was making sure the boats were making there way through the locks in Seattle without issue.
Barista This barista at Citizen coffee in Seattle was whipping up a chai for me. Mmm delicious.
Crowded Market This was the scene at the Pike Place market in Seattle, fresh veggies, fruit and plenty of people.
2317
This is a shot I took inside one of the bays at Steamtown National Historic Site. It was shot using a Canon 60D and a 18-135mm lens. I used evaluative metering and metered just below the window. The slight trade off was the blown out highlights coming through the window, but it help bring out a little more detail on the train.
Shooting Lady Antebellum
Last night I had a photo assignment for the local paper I freelance for. Typically with a concert like this, photographers from the media only get about 3 songs worth of shooting in before they have to leave. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the event that didn't get printed in the paper.
"Sing It Out Loud"
"Lady A"
"Dance A Little Closer"
"Enjoy The Show"
"Photo Pass"
While it was a brief event due to restrictions on photographers, I really enjoyed shooting this event and met a few great photographers In the process. Looking forward to more things to come.

Whiskey Pour
I was fooling around with stopping liquid a few weeks ago. This is a shot where I stopped the stream as it hit the glass. Fun Fact: I used black tea to make a whiskey looking liquid for use with this shoot.

Bokeh Bokeh
Bokeh is that often wonderful effect you get when you throw a lens out of focus, especially with shallow depth of field. Here we have a bokeh produced by some christmas lights on a tree. Bright and vibrant balls of color!
Monster Girls
The two lovely Monter Energy girls from a recent Arenacross event. This is an extra photo I shot while covering the event for a local news paper.
