nobody can hate me more than I hate myself. but I promise I'm annoying and useless enough to get you pretty close.
Not even my mother can avoid seeing me as a scummy disapointment. it'd be impressive if it didn't hurt.

Remember kids, knowledge is power no one can take away.
This is my issue with people who are like “but she gave up important military secrets and put soldiers at risk!!”
And it’s like, that’s a really nice propaganda-y way to say she exposed the military committing crimes and cruel acts that should not be allowed, but that active members literally aren’t given the choice to say anything against, because “it compromises our safety everyoen″. That’s a really fucking convenient excuse imo.
The Nuremberg trials say that every soldier has the duty to disobey orders to commit war crimes and blow the whistle on any that take place. Period.
sticker design for pride this year! 💞🏳️⚧️
(Pictured: a drawing of two children marching happily forward jn trans pride coloured outfits, one in a dress and the other in overalls. Behind them is a stinking garbage can holding Hogwarts house plushies. The image reads, “fuck your Hogwarts house. Protect trans kids.”)
I just need to vent a bit... so here's my list of things my dad has said that make me want to fly into the sun. This list is the last 2 months. I will update it as time goes on.
• Its not ok to punch Nazi and white supremacists
• Democrats are Nazis
• If he ever had sex with a trans women and found out she was trans after the fact he would kill her.
• Everyone wants sex. If you dont, or are not attracted to anyone, you are sick.
• Trans women are not really women and trans men are not real men. They can call themselves whatever they want but its all delusion. Top surgery should be banned.
• The LGBT community support Pedophilia.
• Refused to take the Covid 19 Vaccine because of Democrats and Faucci. (note: this is a summary of a 2hr rant)
• Trump is the best President we've ever had.
• IRS and CIA and FBI plotted against conservatives and Trump.
• Capitalism is Good and improving our quality of life.
• Herd Immunity is a Joke.
• The don't say gay bill is good. Chidren shouldn't be aware Trans/Nonbinary people exist and gay romance should only be known if someone they know has two dads/moms.
• Systemic Racism no longer exists in the U.S.
• Its ok to be racist to Indian call center employees and those whose main language is Spanish.
• Him not enforcing gender stereotypes on his children is why I am queer.
• He thought only Republicans voted for black and women rights to vote (note: he has since researched this. with assitance, and is now confused)
• Would "abort" a child after birth if it was "disabled enough"
• Roe v. Wade being overturned is a good thing.
• Socialists are a "Facist Regime."
• People in cities deserve less say than rural American because "they don't understand real life" Rural Votes should count at least 5x more.
• BLM and RoevWade protests are Riots and deserve to be violently put down.
• People working in minimum wage jobs don't deserve enough money to live because they aren't real jobs. They also don't deserve to have families.
• Screaming Dyke (derogatory) at his child anytime they cut their hair "too short" in order to bully them into keeping their hair long.
• January 6th insurrection is a lie made up but the "left"
• January 6th insurrection was a peaceful protest but "left wing facists" snuck in to make a fuss.
• Thinks being racist is funny because I react negatively to him saying racist things.
• Trans individuals should have their own sports league and not "destroy the dreams of real men and women by tainting or taking away their victories"
• Consent is only needed for sex.
We live in a society in which everything is sexualized, and yet heterosexuality is somehow decoupled from the sex part of it.
Being straight is so ubiquitous, it’s somehow not thought of as a sexual thing most of the time. I think it has something to do with conflating sex and love, which is a whole other barrel of monkeys. But I think this explains so many homophobes and exclusionists’ views:
That simply being gay is seen as being openly sexual, even when the person in question is just kissing or holding hands with their partner, or even just mentioning their orientation
That an asexual person mentioning that they are asexual is “dragging people into their sex life”
Meanwhile, a straight person mentioning that they are straight, talking about their partner, and being openly affectionate in public with them is not seen as being unnecessarily sexual or corrupting the children because that’s just love
Related, that assigning children as heterosexual and joking about it is normal (onesies with “ladies man” and such on them)
If I may add; the casual tone that cishets will discuss how they’re “trying to have children” etc. Which is literally just sex like that’s sex. You can talk about sexual reproduction and how often you attempt it but GOD forbid my girlfriend and I share a milkshake at the park
“Didn’t threaten the lives of justices”? Fuck that bullshit.
Justice Blackmun, who wrote the Roe majority opinion, had a bullet shot through his living room window. This after years of receiving letters threatening his life. The bullet occurred right after he had received a particularly concerning letter, and was at the end of a year in which DC-area clinics had been subjected to seven bombings. Not threats, bombings.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1985/03/05/shot-fired-through-blackmuns-window/270a0516-2c7f-4c5e-9002-d017515a5131/
Oh, and Blackmun also was picketed regularly ever since the Roe decision was handed down.
Learn your history. Don’t let the Right re-write it.
Conservatives like to point at late term abortions as a morally unjustifiable, but the truth is that they are usually performed on women who were trying to carry to term. These women don't "want" abortions, they NEED abortions.
My grandmother nearly died having a miscarriage. My teenaged mother had to take her to the hospital when she refused to take herself because she was in denial. She was literally bleeding out. She had a late stage abortion and it saved her life. The doctors told her that if she tried to carry another baby to term it would kill her. Not "could" kill her, it WOULD kill her.
I only got to know my grandmother because she had access to a safe and legal abortion. She never spoke about her loss. Ever. I know she remained sexually active, which means if she had gotten pregnant again she would have gotten another abortion. I dont know if that was ever neccessary as, again, she never spoke about any of this.
I only know the story because my mother shared it with me. My mother was the first woman in her family that didn't miscarry at least once.
So yes, I support access to all abortions, even if not especially late term abortions.
Memes of the god who is too gay to function
This is a stupid conversation! and I'm not going to continue it! literally so fucking correct
What I’m really proud of is the fact that he made SURE the audience understood why the caller was being an idiot. He made a PERFECT comparison, gave the caller an honest chance to re-evaluate and change his mind. His point landed, everyone knew it, even the caller (note his pause and almost hesitancy after being asked).
But when the caller decided to bulldoze on anyway, because god forbid actually listen to the other person in the conversation, the expert cut him off and refused his time. And good for him.
[VD: A tweet by @ g33kgurli, tweeted at 9:47 PM on Dec 17, 2021. It reads, "Perhaps the best clap back to antivaxxers and antimaskers." Attached is a video from The Thom Hartmann Program, where Hartmann is talking with a caller. The conversation goes as follows:
Caller: Hey Thom. Uh, I was listening to you for the last hour so, um, I heard survival of the fittest. Um, you know some of us choose not to vaccinate and uh--
Hartmann: You're nuts, Nicholas.
Caller: --because we work very hard about staying fit, eating healthy, and our natural immune system.
Hartmann: So Nicholas if you're so healthy, would you have unprotected sex with somebody who has syphilis or gonorrhea?
Caller: You're missing the point.
Hartmann: No, I'm not missing the point. They're contagious diseases. Would you have unprotected sex with somebody who has syphilis and gonorrhea and not worry about it because you're so healthy?
Caller: [pause] No, I wouldn't do that.
Hartmann: Okay, then why would you expose yourself to covid without having some protection?
Caller: Because the protection is my natural immunity.
Hartmann: No, it's not. Tell that--
Caller: Yes, yes, my natural immunity--
Hartmann: Tell that to eight hundred thousand dead Americans. Nicholas, this is- this is a stupid conversation and I'm not going to continue it.

I've done tech support. I've done medical dispatch. I've done fucking 911 emergency dispatch. Fast food is the hardest job I've ever had and I guarantee you these boomers who got grandfathered into making 120k a year sitting at a desk while their subordinates work ALSO haven't had a job that was actually hard.
Shout-out to everyone who got bullied a fuckton in school but tuned out most of it because you didn’t understand social stuff and because sometimes it took WEEKS to even realise, “Oh. They were being mean.”
Shout-out to everyone who got through primary school in a dissociative haze that they can’t even remember anymore
Thought I’d commemorate Ace Week with some simple little artworks of some silly little creatures. ✨Go and be amazing, fellow aces.✨
Look, the majority of the Internet right now seems to be here to try and make the world a better place; which is great! Absolutely LOVE seeing everyone stand up and demand rights and better lives.
But there is one problem. I am seeing a LOT of people, who care very much, get burned out and jaded because they try to be active in every, single, movement that enters their sphere of awareness. And others in these movements don't help.
I constantly see videos and posts saying "if you aren't an active part of [social movement] your not an ally, you're the enemy" and "if you're not leading the protests, you're as bad as the white supremacists/homophobes/Mega Corperations.
The problem is, that's not sustainable. You have to have a life, have happiness, outside of bettering the world. So how do you balance this? feel like a good person while not burning through all of you empathy.
Pick 2.
Pick two movements. Two activism to focus you attention and the majority of your efforts on. They dont have to stay the same movements, you can rotate around as you feel you need, and you can still participate in other groups protests, but only be truly active in 2.
For me I focus on LGBT Activism (specifically Trans Rights) and Social Assitance Betterment (Healthcare and Poverty focused). These are the movements I put the most effort towards; actively researching, participating in events and meetings, seeking to improve understanding/inclusion around me, and fighting for rights at local, national, and world levels.
This is not to say I ignore other movements, I still listen to whats going on in the world, I heed calls to arms given by other groups. When I can, I march in BLM protests, boycott when needed, and record people being harassed by police. But I'm not active; These other social movements do not take up my energy on a day to day basic. I do not keep more than general knowledge on these subjects and I'm not a good source of information. And I don't need to be.
I keep the balance in my life, help where I can, focus my energies, sympathize with those who put their energies elsewhere, and take time to live my life with happiness. I only get one of these lives, and if I burn myself out trying to be the perfect ally/activist, if it gets to the point where I can't care anymore... then I become part of the problem.
So I pick 2, and live the rest of my life ensuring that I have enough happiness/life to care about the rest as well. Because only when your needs are met can you be a successful ally in the long term.
do you ever project on a character so hard you start questioning your sexuality and gender?
