Sometimes I think I'm wrong about 'AI'
Sometimes, I doubt if I am right. Sometimes I think — maybe there's something I am missing.
I see programs do truly incredible things. See people do in a minute what takes me hours. Listen to explanations of complex equations that enable algorithmic flexibility beyond belief. See companies, economies, pivot with confidence that suggests certainty beyond a shadow of a doubt. And I think — maybe, just maybe, I am the fool.
And then I see a man in Madagascar labeling images for thirty cents an hour.
And god, I do not hate enough.
