Humans are pretty prone to mimicking noises. like even subconsciously. sometimes we even unintentionally pick up entirely different accents. and you literally can't tell me you've never meowed or woofed or chirped back at a cat/dog/bird at least once in your life (unless you are physically/audibly unable to do so).

So Grace 1000% starts picking up and mimicking Eridian noises.

One day, Rocky will be working on something, only to freeze as he hears Grace behind him suddenly exclaim in fluent Eridian "SHIT!"

Turns out Eridian swear words are usually expressed in the same decibel that humans can whistle in.

Eridian Grace au, right? But get this:

Grace tells Rocky about the different types of funeral/burial rites/traditions humans do.

They collectively decide that when Grace dies, they want to cremate him and then crush the ash into a crystal. (though Grace declares he wants extra material added when the crystal pressurisation is done, because cremation crystals usually end up very small due to density and mass, and Grace wants his crystal to be shaped like an accurate human brain! For science!)

so the time comes, graces ash (+ extra materials) are compressed into a crystal, and now Grace is a very nice diamond that's about the size and shape of what his human brain was.

Maybe Rocky likes to bring it to the dome and leave it on the beach every now and then- like a sentimentality thing.

Maybe one day, they start hearing an odd resonance coming from within the crystal brain. Almost as if...

They rush off to the scientists.

Now. think about this.

Eridians brains are crystals.

soooo, it's discovered that the crystal made out of the ashes of Grace, has miraculously become... basically an Eridian brain.

Grace is Eridian now!!

Obviously he's a dormant Eridian, considering he's literally just a brain.

but they build a body for him! the introduce the proper worker cells into the system and into/around his brain.

And Boom! Grace is awake and now an Eridian!! stumbling around and learning to live again!!
