OK let’s do some lorecrafting.

I’m not actually surprised that Saint knows Russian because having an accent means that you learned that language later.

Which means even though guardians are risen with a fresh memory, they keep the language they know. And then they learn the 12 surviving languages* to be able to communicate with everyone. I’m guessing this doesn’t take much time because of our light.

This brings us to the most important question: How?

I have two potential answers to that. Either our Ghost becomes our teacher and teaches us all these languages or one of the doors we can’t open in the tower is a language school for new guardians.

And I REALLY hope the answer is the second one.

*: This number is solely based on the number of languages supported in game with full audio. And when you look at that list, it makes sense if those languages ended up being the surviving ones, although I would expect at least five more languages would be in that list.
