This spring I unrelatedly got a massive thigh piece tattoo of my take on the Loup Garou. The French Canadien werewolf, afflicted by lycanthropy after skipping too much church, Easter mass in particular. I was imagining the ripped plaid of traditional depictions of werewolves but in the quebec favoured blue & toque of a lumberjack or fur trader. So technically there are Catholic werewolves (as much as there are any werewolves of any religion?) but they seem to be either lapsed or were never that devout.

My actual favourite werewolf is the Wulver, the benevolent Scottish werewolf that is often depicted as a wolf's head on a human body and they secretly leave food on the window sills of poor families, which is honestly more than many religious people do for their communities.
