Even if you normally throw out the instructions in the language you don't speak, you should keep them around when you're assembling the med kit for school. You never know who might need to administer medications (or even just check sugar), and it doesn't cost much space to just keep those little booklets in there.

I've been raising up my hands, drive another nail in/got enough guilt to start my own religion (Cut my hand accidentally, trying to reuse an oral syringe. I should really just let them go after one use, but that feels so wasteful. But...)

Literal vs. Figurative

The endocrinology waiting room is where a parent making conversation with “So, does your kid eat?” means it literally, rather than figuratively.

Also, thank goodness for tube feeding technology. Fed is best.

I picked the blue dragon for Sir Lancetlot's adversary because blue is the symbol of hypoglycemia on our glucometer. I always thought that was weird; hypo is a much more immediate threat than hyper, which is long-term damage, so it seems more appropriate for "red alert." But, whatever. :-)

Go bag for glucagon

In the "emergency preparedness" community, there's a concept called a "go bag" that lets you quickly evacuate your house in case of wildfire or similar natural disaster. Generally, you want it to hold a change of clothes, some snacks, etc. For a baby with hyperinsulinism, it's a bit different! Right now, I store her glucagon pen, one bottle of diazoxide, and some oral syringes in there, as well as the basic supplies (clothes, overnight diaper, snacks). That bag goes with us whenever we cross a state line. When she was an infant, we just kept the "home" glucagon pen in her diaper bag; that's effectively an infant's go-bag anyway. ;-) Emergency preparedness can be a terrifying, depressing rabbit hole when you have a kid with a chronic, medicine-dependant condition; but if you can avoid the whole end-of-the-world mindset, there are good lessons to be had!
