I was rewatching Layton and Nikita's post-dance comments and I just now realized that Layton and Nikita's show-dance costumes are a throwback to their week 1 samba outfits!

#full circle :)#i didn't notice the diamond sequin pattern on the samba fit until now since it's black on black and so much else was going on in the dance #but i probably should have noticed the parallel with the jumpsuit/vest with lapels lol #sorry if this was really obvious to everyone else lol #strictly come dancing #layton williams #nikita kuzmin #not sure anyone's still here but...#yeah im just really sad the show is over :(

Layton and Nikita's finale Argentine Tango

Their final dance on Strictly, from VT to judges' scores.

In their last It Takes Two interview, Nikita spoke of bringing a different emotion to their Argentine Tango this time, and goddamn did they deliver. They somehow managed to make an already brilliant dance become transcendent. And Nikita, my favorite emotional gorl, was pretty much crying the entire time after the dance (he may have started crying during the dance even?). This performance was the perfect way to end their magical run.
