In the summer of 1982, artist Agnes Denes planted and harvested 2 acres of wheat just two blocks from Wall Street, near the twin World Trade Center towers and facing the Statue of Liberty.
Growing wheat on land valued at $4.5 billion was a symbolic act. Her project, 'Wheatfield,' raised questions about food justice, commerce, world trade, economics, land misuse, colonization, food and energy waste, world hunger, and ecology.

I know almost nothing about baseball, but Giovanni loves an underdog. He's gonna be the guy who roots for the home team that always loses. I grew up in a big family of Chicago Cubs fans back when the Cubs hadn't won anything in... literally like almost a century, I think?
So whoever the current MLB team that is doing the worst for the longest and the most consistently bad, that's Giovanni's favorite. And I think he'd root for them harder the more they lose.
there will never be anything as funny as the mutual disbelief between long form and short form fic writers about each other's style.
short form writers look at people writing 100k+ fics as though this is some sort of talent given as part of a fae bargain, that the commitment required shows some sort of ungodly mental fortitude.
meanwhile long form writers look at people writing 1000 word one shots like god I would cut off my left nipple to be able to say anything concisely. i would love to play with multiple ideas. free me from the shackles of this child I have birthed. i love them but I now must take them to t-ball and doctor's appointments and they're going to destroy everything I own.

First off, these are the "full"(est) versions of each idol's preview art, with the exception of the seventh, who is supplanted by the broken screen.
Besides the art, each line of code features what I assume are stand-in titles given to the idols, including the three yet-unveiled. The fifth one is labeled 'Dancer', the sixth one (Benny, most likely) is labeled 'Blood', and the seventh is labeled 'Strings'. The last one is the most interesting to me, given that idol seven is the one who's sin stems from 'freedom'.
The key art has already been pulled for the fan wiki but here are those too.

Also, for anyone curious, the files of the game do have a few goodies you can access without needing to datamine; if you go into Dead as Disco > Pagoda (the folder, not the executable) > Content > Movies, you will find all of the 2D animated segments from the boss fights in high quality. There are also some promo videos. Most are silent, the ones that aren't have their audio in encoded in Opus so they might still be silent for you (VLC media player will circumvent this).
Aside: has anyone cracked the game data open yet? I'd like it if we could compile some of the (currently in-use; I'm not interested in leaks) assets and art. Preferably somewhere other than the Fandom.com-hosted wiki because I hate having to navigate that site and also the idols are numbered extremely wrong on it, for some reason

Some AAVE speakers pluralize 'child' as 'childrens'. People get racist about this ("It's already plural!"), but 'children' actually comes from Middle English speakers doing the same thing: slapping their plural marker on word already pluralized by an extinct plural marker.
To oversimplify: in Old English, 'childer' ('Äildra') was the plural of 'child' ('Äild'). Middle English developed an '-en' plural marker, which we see in 'oxen'. Instead of updating to 'childen', people slapped their preferred '-en' onto the end of 'childer' - so now we have 'child-er-en'. AAVE carries on this tradition with 'child-er-en-s'.

So I take out my lighter and burn the swan roughly 23 seconds after the dude gave it to me, and crush the ashes in my hand because I belatedly realize thereās no sink for me to throw this in.Ā Oh well.Ā Purell the ashes off.
I look up.Ā Dude, and everyone else in the waiting room is staring at me.

What I Meant To Say: āNo I just carry a lighter as a holdover from survival camp as a kid, and if Iām wearing synthetic fabrics that start to ravel, I can use the flame to melt them a bit so they stop.ā

I blame him (at least partially) for the rise in anti-indian racism in the late 2010s to today and people look at me like I'm the friend who's too woke when I say that. But it's true
and youād be right to blame him. he normalized the rise in anti-indian and anti-desi racism through ājokes.ā it took me forever to take pride in my indian heritage bc of the culture he helped set up.
