I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in my life. And I am horribly limited.

I'M SO HAPPY THAT I FOUND YOUR BLOG,ur an amazing beautiful lady youre so right with every word you say,I can feel you so goddamn much, also youre making me feel a lot better about my skinny body THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOUâ€â€
thank you lovely, that means a lot :)
Nicki is GOD!!! FUCK YOU! She's shaming skinny girls because they're ugly!!! fat people are ALWAYS body shamed, skinny people aren't she's giving them a taste of their own fucking medicine.
Are you telling me that skinny shaming doesnât exist? Are you kidding me? How uneducated can you get? Iâve been skinny shamed since I was nine years old.
Once in gym class I was in a xs pair of pants and shirt and it was still baggy on me, itâs hard for me to gain weight because of my heart condition and I regularly wore thick sweaters because I was uncomfortable in my body. Anyway, I just finished getting changed and this boy saw me walk out of the change room and go âEw sheâs so skinny, sheâs probably anorexic.â the whole classroom spread rumors I was anorexic they bullied me so bad I had to leave school for a few months.
I once went to a wedding and I was a bit older and I gained a bit more weight but you could still see a fair amount of bone, in the middle of the wedding while everyone was drunk a woman came up to my mom and bitched at her about how she âdoesnât feed meâ and Iâm going to die of starvation, the lady later sat me down and forced me to eat. Itâs not my fault I canât gain weight.
I got my first boyfriend in grade 9 and I was so excited, we ended up making out (on top of each other) and he told all of his buddies about it and their replies were âisnât she too thin? i bet her bones were sticking out the whole time.â he later dumped me for another girl because I was too thin.
I saw a post on facebook that said âReal men like curves, bones are for dogs.â or something along the lines of that, I quickly stated men can like either one itâs their choice it doesnât determine their ârealnessâ and a girl replied to me with âYouâre just a dumb skinny bitch who doesnât know how to eat, sorry but youâll never get any boys, hun. Donât be jealous.â
These are just some events in my life that involved skinny shaming. Body shaming in general shouldnât happen. Itâs not right to defend one body type by putting another one down. Thatâs just my opinion.
All About That Bass
Fat Activist: WOW LMAO SKINNY GIRLS ARE ONLY MAD ABOUT THIS SONG BECAUSE IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT THEM!!!
Skinny People: Actually, we're upset because the singer shames skinny girls by saying that guys like a little more booty to hold onto at night and calling us skinny bitches.
Fat Activists: OMG THAT WAS HER MOM SAYING THAT BOYS LIKE A LITTLE MORE BOOTY TO HOLD ONTO AT NIGHT AND SHE SAID SHE WAS JUST KIDDING ABOUT CALLING YOU SKINNY BITCHES!!!
Skinny People: If she didn't agree with her mom, she wouldn't have put that line in her song. Also, if somebody told me that I was a sack of bones and then turned around and said they were just kidding, I would still be very hurt.
Fat Activists: THE MEDIA PROMOTES YOUR BODY TYPE ALL THE TIME!!!
Skinny People: and a lot of times people use the media to shame us.
Fat Activists: LMAO WHATEVER JUST LET US FAT GIRLS HAVE OUR MOMENT!!! WE DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE GETTING SHAMED!! THIS SONG HAS ~~~~~~****""""BODY POSITIVITY""""****~~~~~~
Thereâs no winning.
Dear body, You are not too fat nor are you too thin. You are perfectly shaped in the spitting image of flawless. Your boobs arenât the biggest, or maybe they are too big, but either way they are not the most prominent quality of you. If boobs are all there is to a relationship, you wouldnât want to be in one at all. Your butt is the perfect size - petite or big enough to write a song about - your butt is the perfect size. No bass could even compare to the musical set you have playing above your thighs. Your butt is a beautiful thing and if said otherwise, they can say it right to its charm. Your thighs can shut the world up. Your thighs gives your relatives a reason to walk and strut through the streets of the city and if they are slim, if they are not slim, there is absolutely nothing wrong with your thighs. Your stomach is proud to be full. Your stomach does not care if it overlaps the waistband of your jeans nor does it care that it pokes out under your sweatshirt. Your stomach likes to eat and that is beautiful. Your stomach is proud to be healthy. So dear body, please stop being sad about yourself because itâs making me frown too. There is not a flaw in the world that can attack your etherealness even if it had teeth and claws. You are a very beautiful thing and if no one else can see it but us, it can be our own little heart warming secret. Yours truly, Me

The thing is; when youâre skinny, you lose your voice on a lot of things. I must admit there once was a time that skinny women had a privilege, one that wasnât earned. But times have changed and skinny women have been destroyed in the process. The truth of the matter is, according to society today, if you donât have curves, youâve lost your status as a real woman. If there is nothing cushioning your bones, no man will want you, because havenât you heard only dogs go for bones? When I was 13 I was given the nickname A-Rex. If you canât figure out what that stands for, it was a way to call me anorexic without actually saying it. I laughed at first, though the joke wasnât funny, but it continued on for years. I realized in that time that being skinny wasnât everything it was believed to be. I was naturally underweight and it really hit me, being skinny could actually suck. Iâve watched a girl have fries thrown at her, Iâve been told to eat a burger. Iâve been told âyouâre prettyâŠbut youâd be prettier if you gained weight..â Of course, itâs okay to say these things to me because my stomach doesnât spill over the waistband of my jeans, and you can see my collar bones. You tell me the media portrays my body in a positive light so the criticism of my body isnât as bad. But why would I care about that model on the TV more than the opinions of my peers, family, and friends? Big is beautiful, but what about small? The girls who ribs protrude or thighs donât touch? Where is the body positivity for them? Gone. We preach to love yourself, and your body but what we forget to add is that if youâre skinny, donât talk about it. Overweight girls are given the privilege of loving their self openly. If they post pictures of their body they are praised, they are brave. But if a girls who wrist are as bony as her knees even thinks the thought, they are conceited, a slut and so many other things it makes my head spin. And fat girl, you shaming me for my body doesnât make yours any better. Arenât we all made up of the same bones and atoms so why is it that your 250 pounds is so much better than my 120? I was watching the Victoria Secrets Fashion show, admiring how beautiful the women and clothing were. I donât know why I was shocked when I logged onto social media to see people destroying the models for their bodies. Disgusting and gross were the two words that were repeated again and again and I looked down at my size 2 waist and screamed. So now I avoid the mirror. Big is beautiful, not bones, remember that. And my thigh gap is found to be repulsive. How dare my thighs not kiss each other as I walk? No man wants a girl with a thigh gap, do you even eat anymore? So tell me when did the process of building up one but destroying another become okay? Itâs a shaky platform. Say no to 0? What about say yes to all sizes? Just because my shoulders are bony and my collar bones stick out doesnât give you the right to destroy me. I may be small, but opinion doesnât have to be.
Skinny shaming; it hurts too (via saltwaterandroses)
I know this isn't a personal account but I need to put this somewhere my boyfriend (of over a year) and I are in a long distance relationship in that we can only see each other once a fortnight I've just come home from spending 4 nights with him and now I'm not going to see him for 3 weeks and I'm so lonely I hate feeling like this when we say goodbye, I don't want to be constantly remembering cuddling and kissing him and wishing I could go back sorry for this but I needed to let it out somewhere

PSA: All of us here know that we shouldnât jump to conclusions about peopleâs bodies. Just because a girl is big doesnât mean she is lazy or only eats junk food, and just because a girl is skinny doesnât mean she is vain or anorexic.Â
HOWEVER, we should also make sure weâre not blindly defending people in a crusade for our own self-interest! For example, I am thin because of my fast metabolism and my workout regimen (I am a collegiate athlete). But a good friend of mine in high school was thin because she was bulimic. Another high school friend is big because broad hips and a stocky build run in her family. But my neighbor is big because, in her words, âmy love of unhealthy food is as large as my hatred of the gym.â Although it may be tempting to jump into advocating for a person with whom you feel a sense of camaraderie, remember that every personâs scenario is different in more aspects than one.
(This is not to say that people who are thin because of eating disorders or fat because they like junk food deserve to be attacked for their size, of course. We should all stand up for people who are being body-shamed! What I mean is that we shouldnât assume we know whether a personâs weight is healthy or not just by looking at them⊠Thatâs what body-shamers do.)
Hi lovely,I am so confused about my skinny body, it seems like every guy around me only like thick, curvy girls anymore.đ
Hey sweetie, everyone has different types and preferences. I do know lots of boys who love a larger, curvy lady and I also know lots of boys who like slimmer girls :) hang in there!
If you're 5'6" and size 8/10, that's not really skinny is it?
Just to clarify, I'm a size 8/10 in UK sizes. I guess that'd be a 4/6 in U.S. I'm 130lbs. Regardless, I'm not the skinniest girl around but I'm still subjected to comments about not having "curves" (even though skinny girls can have curves) and not having big enough boobs etc, and "dogs like meat, not bones".
I'm supper skinny naturally and I hate it bring me down all the kids at high school are like "omg go eat your wasting away"
Thank you for this blog, I'm a recovered anorexic but I'm still very slight and I hate how I can't complain or people will flare up. When I was twelve and nine stone with three chins I was called fat and now at fifteen and seven stone (after being five/six for a long time) they can call me a stick or make it out like I did it for boys or that I'm ill. I think people need to be aware it goes both ways and it may seem stupid attention seeking to you but to them it maybe a real big issue. Thanks!!!
you're welcome lovely! xxxx
Today at school one of my teachers said to me "hey you lost more weight congrats" and I nearly cried I didn't want to lose weight I wanted to gain it I hate being skinny
I'm fed up with the idea that fat women need to have curves, but only in the "right places." Body shaming from fellow chubby girls hurts the most. It's not skinny shaming, it's not body shaming, it's just trying to create a new norm in society for what is "acceptable."
