i love radical feminist because it isn't soft and reassuring like any other kind of feminism like "it's alright if you don't shave, you're cute anyways" "cut your hair bc it's pretty!" "dress girly it's fine!" no. it's about understanding where you stand in society, it's about questioning why has this become your reality. why do men want you shaved, with long hair, in pink? it's all about questions and answers. radical feminism tells you that you're beautiful too but it also questions what is beauty and why you need validation so badly. why do women have to shave, since when, who is it for - you or your partner, you or men's consumption? - and when you know the answer you must do something about it, it's not about "everyone is free to do what they want! :)" no, you spread the word, argue with other women. try to make a positive change. you speak up. you defend your autonomy. you shut men up when they try to gaslight your experiences with your own body. it's all about being chaotic, revolutionary, just like feminism was supposed to be. like it was created to be. radical feminism DEMANDS a change, fights for it. it doesn't sit back and ignorantly dismantles the entire purpose of feminism: to liberate women. the oppressed class. it's not about 'equality' and it never will. men can defend themselves, they've done just that for centuries, but women can't, at least not on their own. we need sorority, we need female bonds. radical feminism understand women and is willing to make a change to improve women's lives. sometimes even to save them.
